    摘要: An outboard motor includes a cooling water passage structure, in which a combustion chamber periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the combustion chamber and an exhaust port periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the exhaust port are formed in the cylinder head, a cylinder periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the cylinder is formed in the cylinder block, and an exhaust passage periphery water jacket through which the cooling water flows around the exhaust passage is formed around the exhaust passage. The water jackets are connected such that the cooling water from the water passage will flow through the combustion chamber periphery water jacket, the exhaust port periphery water jacket, the cylinder periphery water jacket, and the exhaust passage periphery water jacket in order.

    摘要: A system for shielding sparks generated by a compressor in a marine air conditioning system is disclosed. The components of the compressor clutch are modified and a cap encapsulates the components that can generate sparks. In particular, the outer edges of the hub and of the pulley are designed to closely receive the cap. The diameter of the hub is smaller than that of the pulley so that the cap rotates with the pulley without contacting the hub. The cap is joined to the pulley by interference fit and always rotates with the pulley. Any sparks generated by contact between the hub and the pulley are completely contained within the cap to prevent ignition of any gas fumes present in the vicinity of the compressor.

    摘要: A cooling system for an internal combustion engine of a marine propulsion system is provided with a poppet that is overmolded with a resilient sealing material to enhance its sealing capacity. As a result, the pressure within the internal combustion engine cooling passages can be maintained more accurately. Because undesirable leakage past the poppet is more successfully prevented by the overmolded poppet, the cooling system can more accurately regulate the temperature of the engine.
