摘要: A battery thermal management system for a vehicle having a drivetrain. The thermal management system includes: a high-voltage propulsion battery, a waste-heat source of the vehicle drivetrain, and a battery heating circuit configured for circulating a battery coolant. The battery heating circuit includes a pipe being routed in the vicinity of, and spaced-apart from, the waste-heat source and configured for conveying the battery coolant for enabling the battery coolant within the pipe to heat-up by heat-radiation emitted from the waste-heat source and/or heat-convection through air from the waste-heat source to the battery coolant, and the battery heating circuit is configured for conveying the heated battery coolant to the battery for enabling heating of the battery by the battery coolant.

摘要: A fuel reforming system includes an engine combusting reformed gas to generate mechanical power; an intake line connected with the engine to supply the reformed gas and air to the engine; an exhaust line connected with the engine to circulate exhaust gas exhausted from the engine; a fuel reformer provided at an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) line diverging from the exhaust line, mixing the exhaust gas passing through the EGR line with fuel and reforming the fuel mixed with the exhaust gas; a water temperature controller (WTC) provided at the engine to control coolant cooling the engine; a radiator for radiating a portion of heat generated from the engine to atmosphere through the coolant; a temperature sensor provided at the EGR line at a front end of the fuel reformer and measuring temperature of the exhaust gas at the front end of the fuel reformer; a coolant passage provided to connect an exit of the engine, the fuel reformer, the radiator, and an entrance of the engine in series; and a coolant supply control valve for supplying the coolant into an inside of the fuel reformer according to engine driving condition and temperature of the exhaust gas.

摘要: The present invention provides a cooling device for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle. While the vehicle is in a decelerating state and while the internal combustion engine is in an idle reduction state, the cooling device increases the ratio of the cooling water circulation rate through a first path which extends through a heater core and a radiator while reducing the ratio of the cooling water circulation rate through a second path which bypasses the heater core and radiator. In addition, the cooling device increases the discharge flow rate of the electric water pump while the vehicle is in a decelerating state, and maintains the electric water pump in an operating state during idle reduction. Thus, the present invention allows accelerating the temperature decrease of the cylinder head during idle reduction, as well as improving fuel economy during acceleration when the vehicle is started.

摘要: A cooling device for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle according to the claimed invention includes: an electric water pump; a first path including a cooling water passage in a cylinder head and extending through a heater core for air heating and a radiator; and a second path bypassing the heater core and radiator. When the internal combustion engine is automatically stopped while the vehicle is stopping, the cooling device causes the electric water pump to operate, and increases the cooling water circulation ratio through the first path while reducing the cooling water circulation ratio through the second path. Thereby, the cooling device improves fuel economy during acceleration at the vehicle start from the automatic stop state of the internal combustion engine while suppressing the deterioration of the air heating performance during the automatic stop of the internal combustion engine while the vehicle is stopping.

摘要: An engine radiator cooling fluid circuit and an exhaust gas intercooler (EGI) radiator cooling fluid circuit are fluidically in parallel with one another. The engine radiator cooling fluid circuit extends from the radiator to an engine associated with a vehicle or a stationary system such as a CHP system. The EGI radiator cooling fluid circuit extends from a radiator to an EGI that cools exhaust gas as it flows through an exhaust conduit that extends from a first catalytic converter to a second catalytic converter. The radiator cooling fluid circuits can share a common radiator coil or each radiator cooling fluid circuit can be associated with a respective radiator coil in the radiator. A gas particulate filter can be coupled to the exhaust conduit or the second catalytic converter. An air-driven exhaust gas ejector (EGE) such as an engine charger compressor injects air into an inlet port in the exhaust conduit.

摘要: An auxiliary cooling system which is provided separately from an engine cooling passage in a vehicle provided with a turbo engine. The auxiliary cooling system includes a first line which connects a radiator and an intercooler to each other and on which an electric water pump is installed. A second line connects the intercooler and an intake manifold. A third line connects the intake manifold and the radiator, and a bypass valve selectively directly transfers cooling water, heated while passing through a turbine housing provided on a path of the third line, to the radiator or transfers the cooling water to the radiator via an engine block or a heater. Cooling water discharged from the intake manifold passes through an ETC (electronic throttle control) unit and thus reduces a temperature of intake air passing through the ETC unit.

摘要: A control valve includes a casing having an inlet port for a fluid, an axially rotatable valve accommodated in the casing and having a flow path communicating with the inlet port. An upstream outlet port and a downstream outlet port passing through the casing are formed at intervals in the casing. An upstream communication port and a downstream communication port, which respectively communicate between an inside of the flow path and the upstream outlet port and between the inside of the flow path and the downstream outlet port according to a rotational position of the valve are formed in the valve. A flowing direction changing portion for changing a flowing direction of the fluid in the flow passage is provided in a portion of the flow path which is located on a downstream side in relation to the upstream communication port in the flowing direction of the fluid.

The cooling jacket at least partially surrounds the cylinder and includes a first cooling passage positioned between the exhaust passage and the first auxiliary exhaust passage, and a second cooling passage positioned between the exhaust passage and the second auxiliary exhaust passage. The cooling jacket on at least the exhaust side of the cylinder comprises an upper portion and a lower portion which are in fluid communication with each other via at least one of the first cooling passage and the second cooling passage.

摘要: An open loop cooling water system is for a marine engine. A cooling water inlet receives cooling water from a body of water. A cooling water outlet discharges the cooling water back to the body of water. A cooling water circuit conveys cooling water from the cooling water inlet, through the marine engine, and to the cooling water outlet. A cooling water pump that pumps cooling water from upstream to downstream through the cooling water circuit. A recirculation pump that is located in the cooling water circuit downstream of at least one component of the marine engine and upstream of the cooling water outlet. The recirculation pump is configured to pump cooling water from downstream of the marine engine back into the cooling water circuit upstream of the marine engine. Methods are for cooling a marine engine using an open loop cooling system.
