摘要: A switchable valve bridge for an internal combustion engine is provided that includes an outer housing, an inner housing, a locking collar, and a first ramp. The outer housing includes two valve pallets configured to interface with two poppet valves. The inner housing is slidably disposed within the outer housing. The inner housing has a first locking latch configured to move radially relative to an actuation axis of the inner housing. The locking collar is configured to move axially via an actuation force applied to the locking collar in a first axial direction parallel to the actuation axis. The first ramp is disposed within both the first locking aperture and the locking collar. The first ramp is configured to be actuated by the locking collar such that axial movement of the first ramp causes radial movement of the first locking latch.

摘要: A system for actuating at least one engine valve comprises an output rocker operatively connected to the at least one engine valve. A first rocker assembly is operatively connected to a first valve actuation motion source. The first rocker assembly comprises a first input rocker arranged in series with a first lost motion component, wherein the first input receives first valve actuation motions from the first valve actuation motion source and the first lost motion component is operatively connected to the output rocker. A second rocker assembly is operatively connected to a second valve actuation motion source. The second rocker assembly comprises a second input rocker arranged in series with a second lost motion component, wherein the second input rocker receives second valve actuation motions from the second valve actuation motion source and the second lost motion component is operatively connected to the output rocker.

摘要: A rocker arm comprises a hydraulic actuator piston slidably disposed in an actuator bore. An actuator spring is configured to bias the hydraulic actuator piston out of actuator bore and into contact with a valve train component or at least one engine valve, wherein reaction of the hydraulic actuator piston against the valve train component or the at least one engine valve biases a motion receiving portion of the rocker arm into contact with the valve actuation motion source. In an unactuated state of the hydraulic actuator piston, hydraulic fluid is permitted to flow out of the actuator bore and, in an actuated state of the hydraulic actuator piston, hydraulic fluid is locked in the actuator bore.

摘要: The embodiments of the present disclosure provide a valve actuator for a specialized stationary two-piston hydraulic engine, including a specialized drive cam, an actuator, an oil drive line, and a control valve. A hydraulic linkage is maintained between a primary piston and a secondary piston when the control valve is open, and the oil drive line is drained through the control valve when the control valve is closed. In the present disclosure, by integrating the primary piston and the secondary piston in a specialized actuator, oil consumption is reduced, and with a design of the specialized drive cam, an optimized design of the valve actuator that operates independently of a positive valve mechanism is realized, thus reducing interference and influence of the valve actuator on an operation of the positive valve mechanism.

摘要: A shifting stopper latch assembly for a rocker arm can comprise a latch assembly housing, comprising a latch assembly oil feed, a piston bore, a stopper bore comprising a stopper opening, and a spring seat. A piston can be in the piston bore. A shifting stopper can be in the stopper bore and the shifting stopper can comprise a projection protruding out of the stopper opening. A return spring can be configured in the spring seat to bias the shifting stopper and the plunger away from the spring seat and towards the latch assembly oil feed. A valvetrain can comprise a rocker arm configured to actuate against a cam on a cam rail, and the rocker arm can comprise a latch surface configured to selectively engage and disengage the projection.

摘要: A rocker assembly for a type III center pivot valvetrain comprises a rocker arm having a cam end, a center pivot bore, and a valve end which includes a first actuator bore and a second actuator bore. The rocker assembly further comprises a a cylinder deactivation actuator arranged in the first actuator bore. The cylinder deactivation actuator comprises a hydraulically actuated latch assembly configured to selectively switch between a latched configuration and an unlatched configuration and a a mechanical lash-setting sleeve distanced from a travel stop defined within the first actuator bore. The cylinder deactivation actuator further comprises a lash step disposed below the mechanical lash-setting sleeve and extending into the first actuator bore. The hydraulically actuated latch assembly is configured to selectively travel between the travel stop and the lash step when the hydraulically actuated latch assembly is in the latched configuration.
