    摘要: A swing bridge for a rocker arm assembly is provided. The swing bridge is configured to be selectively actuated by a first rocker arm or a second rocker arm and span a first valve and a second valve. The swing bridge comprises a bridge body including a through opening and a bore intersecting the through opening, and a swing mechanism configured to connect between the first rocker arm and the first valve. The swing mechanism comprises a swing pin configured to swing in the through opening and a rotary cylinder configured to support the swing pin and rotate in the bore. In particular, the swing bridge may swing angularly upon actuation by the first rocker arm so as to actuate the first valve without actuating the second valve and may actuate both the first valve and the second valve upon actuation by the second rocker arm.

    摘要: A retention plate for a hydraulic lash adjuster of a valve train is provided. The retention plate includes a first surface. The retention plate includes a second surface mutually opposite the first surface. The second surface is adapted to contact with a cylinder head of an engine. The retention plate also includes a coupling mechanism defined on the retention plate. The coupling mechanism is adapted to couple the retention plate to the cylinder head. The coupling mechanism includes a through hole adapted to receive a mechanical fastener therethrough. The retention plate further includes a restriction mechanism defined on the retention plate. The restriction mechanism is adapted to restrict a movement of the hydraulic lash adjuster beyond the first surface towards the cylinder head. The restriction mechanism includes an aperture having an aperture size smaller than an outer diameter of the hydraulic lash adjuster.

    摘要: A rocker arm comprising a supply path that communicates with a first lash bore and a first spool bore. A spool is in the spool bore. A hydraulic lash device is in the first lash bore, wherein an outer body is configured to collapse during a first valve lift profile when receiving a low pressure fluid, and wherein the outer body and the inner body are configured to cooperate rigidly when receiving a high pressure fluid during a second valve lift profile. The spool is movable to a first spool position to align the spool notch with a first spool path and a second spool path, and the spool is movable to a second spool position to align the spool notch with the second spool path and an accumulator path. The supply path in to the rocker arm is the only source of fluid to the spool.

    摘要: A variable valve lift apparatus includes a rocker arm having a rocker arm shaft penetrating therethrough. One portion of the rocker arm is supported by a cam shaft and another portion thereof contacts an upper end of an intake valve or an exhaust valve to open and close the intake valve or the exhaust valve. An actuator is disposed at an end of the rocker arm and protrudes toward the intake valve or the exhaust valve depending on an oil pressure applied to change an opening of the intake valve or the exhaust valve. A control valve applies the oil pressure to the actuator to maintain an opened state of the intake valve or the exhaust valve when the intake valve or the exhaust valve is closed.

    摘要: A valve control mechanism is configured that is capable of optimally controlling an engine by lifting an intake valve only by the necessary amount, while suppressing noise at the time of operation. This valve control mechanism includes a control member that rotates around a control axis due to a driving force of an actuator, and a base end portion of a rocker arm is pivotably supported around a pivot axis by an eccentric support portion of the control member. The rocker arm is pivoted by a cam portion of a camshaft abutting against an intermediate roller of the rocker arm, and an operation of opening the intake valve is performed due to a pressure force from the pivot end. The rocker arm is shifted in the longitudinal direction due to an operation of the actuator, and control for changing the lift amount of the intake valve is performed.

    摘要: A lash adjuster includes a cylindrical body, a cylindrical plunger, a low pressure chamber defined in the plunger, a high pressure chamber defined in a hollow lower interior of the body and filled with an operating fluid, a check valve allowing the operating fluid to flow into the high pressure chamber when in a valve-opened state and cutting off flow of the operating fluid from the high pressure chamber into the low pressure chamber when in a valve-closed state. A retainer of the check valve includes a base plate and a cylindrical portion extending upward from an outer circumferential edge of the base plate so as to surround the valve element. The base plate includes a central portion on which the valve element is placed and which has an upper surface formed with a swollen portion. The cylindrical portion has a plurality of openings formed through it circumferentially equiangularly.
