摘要: A valvetrain suitable for an internal combustion engine of a type that includes a combustion chamber, a moveable valve having a seat formed within the combustion chamber, and a camshaft. The valvetrain includes a rocker arm assembly having a rocker arm and an electrical device that either configures the rocker arm assembly or provides position feedback for a part of the rocker arm assembly. The valvetrain includes a framework that fits around a spark plug tube while holding a component of a circuit that includes the electrical device in a position adjacent the rocker arm assembly. The position may place the component in contact with or very close to the rocker arm assembly. This framework structure may effectively utilize the available space under a valve cover while facilitating correct positioning of the component in relation to the rocker arm assembly.

摘要: A rocker arm includes an outer arm having a first side and a second side, an inner arm positioned between the first side and the second side of the outer arm, a pivot axle pivotally coupling the inner arm to the outer arm at a first end of the inner arm and a first end of the outer arm, and a latch pin having a first position and a second position. The latch pin in the first position pivotally fixes the inner arm to the outer arm at a second end of each of the inner arm and a second end of the outer arm, and in the second position allows the inner arm and the outer arm to pivot independently. Two lost motion springs are respectively secured to mounts provided on the outer arm.

The assembly includes a first arm for operatively engaging the first cam for a first desired lift profile, a second arm for operatively engaging the second cam for a second desired lift profile, where the second arm includes a latch to engage the second arm with the first arm. The latch is responsive to supplied oil pressure and release oil pressure to switch between lift profiles. The system includes the latch coupled to the supplied or released oil pressure to engage the arms before the first and second arms are engaged with the base circle portion of each of the respective first and second cams.

The variable valve actuation mechanism includes: a cam placed inside the head cover and rotating with a camshaft extending in a rotation axis direction; and an intermediate arm placed inside the head cover and sandwiched between the cam and a rocker arm. A pair of side through-holes, which are provided for a support rod supporting the intermediate arm to pass through, are formed in side portions of the head cover so as to face each other along the rotation axis direction.

摘要: A valve operating system for a multicylinder engine opens and closes a pair of valves provided on each of cylinders by means of a pair of rocker arms operated by a cam provided on a camshaft supported on a cam holder. When viewed in a direction of a cylinder axis, the pair of rocker aims of at least one of the cylinders are inclined in opposite directions to each other with respect to a direction orthogonal to a camshaft axis. Therefore, thrust loads acting on the camshaft from the pair of rocker al is are counteracted individually for each of the cylinders, thereby enabling the thrust load to be reduced and axial movement of the camshaft to be prevented.

摘要: An oil supply control device for an engine includes: a hydraulic controller which outputs a control value to an adjusting device to cause a detected hydraulic pressure detected by a hydraulic pressure sensor to coincide with a predetermined hydraulic pressure value; a determination portion which compares an output control value output from the hydraulic controller to the adjusting device when the detected hydraulic pressure coincides with the predetermined hydraulic pressure value and a control value stored in a memory, to determine whether or not a difference between the output control value and the stored control value lies within a predetermined allowable range; and a device controller which allows activation of a hydraulic actuating device when an oil temperature is not lower than a first temperature in a case where the difference lies within the allowable range, inhibits activation of the hydraulic actuating device when the oil temperature is lower than a second temperature higher than the first temperature in a case where the difference does not lie within the allowable range, and allows activation of the hydraulic actuating device when the oil temperature is not lower than the second temperature in a case where the difference does not lie within the allowable range.

摘要: A lever arranged for actuation by a cam for the purpose of actuating gas exchange valves of an internal combustion engine is provided. The lever has a contact pad which is configured at one end of the lever on the underside thereof for at least one gas exchange valve, and a contact face for a supporting element, arranged at an opposite end of the lever on the underside. At least one cam thrust face is arranged on an upper side in a region between the contact pad and the contact face. The lever can be loaded is can be manufactured in one piece as either a 2C-MIM (2-Component Metal Injection Molding) component, combined 2C-MIM component and CIM (Ceramic Injection Molding) component, or as a 2C-sintered part having two metal components or having one metal component and one ceramic component.

摘要: A variable valve lift apparatus includes an outer body for selectively performing a first lever motion depending on a rotation of a high cam, the outer body further forming an inside space, an inner body disposed in the inside space of the outer body so as to selectively perform a second lever motion depending on a rotation of the high cam by being selectively locked to the outer body, the selective performing of the second lever motion depending on a rotation of a low cam being released from the outer body, and the inner body being configured so that a valve is connected with one end of the inner body, a connecting shaft rotatably connecting the outer body with the inner body, and a lost motion spring wound around the connecting shaft so as to return the outer body after being relatively rotated with respect to the inner body when the outer body is released from the inner body, wherein a roller rolling-contacting with the low cam is disposed at the inner body, and the connecting shaft is disposed between a pivot axis for a lever motion of the inner body and the roller.
