摘要: There is provided a variable valve apparatus including: a plurality of rocker arms; a coupling pin disposed in a housing hole of the rocker arm closer to one side; a release pin disposed in a housing hole of the rocker arm closer to the other side; a pressing member; a transmission member; and a push-back member disposed so as to push back the transmission member from the other side. The pressing member is configured to push the coupling pin into the housing hole of the rocker arm closer to the other side to couple the plurality of rocker arms. The transmission member is configured to push back the coupling pin into the housing hole of the rocker arm closer to the one side to release a coupling of the plurality of rocker arms.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a roller tappet for a high-pressure fuel pump. The roller tappet includes a housing that accommodates a cam contact roller next to a drive-side annular face of the housing. A bridge piece sits on an inner lateral surface of the housing, after the cam contact roller, as viewed from the drive-side annular face. An outer end face of the bridge piece has a rest for a pump piston. A separate adapter bolt protrudes from the rest beyond the output-side annular face of the housing; an end face of the adapter bolt, remote from the bridge piece, serves as a direct rest for the pump piston. An annular disc sits next to the output-side annular face of the housing, and the bore of said annular disc surrounds and retains the adapter bolt.

摘要: A valvetrain for an internal combustion engine includes a camshaft, an electromagnetic latch assembly, a rocker shaft, and a rocker arm assembly. The rocker arm assembly may include a cam follower configured to engage a cam mounted on the camshaft as the camshaft rotates and a rocker arm configured to rotate on the rocker shaft. The electromagnetic latch assembly may include a pin translatable between a first position and a second position and an electromagnet that causes the pin to actuate. The movement of the pin may provide mode switching for a switching rocker arm, a cylinder deactivating rocker arm, or an engine brake rocker arm. The electromagnet is powered by a circuit that passes through the rocker shaft. The electromagnet may be mounted to the rocker shaft. Running the circuit through the rocker shaft allows the electromagnet to be powered with wiring that remains stationary.

摘要: A two-wheeled vehicle is provided including a frame, front and rear ground-engaging members each supporting the frame, a straddle-type seat, a handlebar for steering the vehicle, at least one light device configured to operate in a hazard mode, an engine supported by the frame and operably coupled to the ground-engaging members, a tilt sensor, and a vehicle control unit in communication with the tilt sensor. The vehicle control unit is operative to detect a tilt angle of the vehicle based on output from the tilt sensor. The vehicle control unit is operative to determine a tip-over condition of the vehicle based on the detected tilt angle exceeding a threshold tilt angle. The vehicle control unit activates the hazard mode of the at least one light in response to the determination of the tip-over condition.

摘要: A method of using a through axle switching rocker arm according to one example of the present disclosure is provided. The switching rocker arm comprises an outer and inner arm and a roller axle. The inner arm is pivotally coupled to the outer arm about a pivot axle and has an inner bushing that supports an inner roller. The inner bushing defines an inner diameter. The roller axle extends through the inner bushing and defines an outer diameter. The inner diameter of the inner bushing engages the outer diameter of the roller axle thereby inhibiting further pivoting of the inner arm relative to the outer arm defining a rocker arm travel constraint. The method includes designing first and second cam profiles based on the through axle switching rocker arm such that a difference in lift between the first and second cam profiles is held within the rocker arm travel constraint.
