摘要: A combustion engine for a vehicle includes a first centrifugal device for varying timing of a first plurality of suction or relief valves with respect to the drive shaft. A driving disc is mounted idle on a first camshaft which controls the valves, and at least one driven disc is integral with the camshaft. Drive elements for transmitting motion from the driving disc to the driven disc are interposed between the two discs causing a relative rotation of the driven disc with respect to the driving disc when the rotation speed of the discs exceeds a predetermined threshold. A distribution system connects the drive shaft with the driving disc so as to cause the rotation thereof. A second gear meshes with a first gear so that rotation of the driving disc mounted on the first camshaft causes the rotation of the second camshaft to control other valves of the engine.

摘要: A hydraulic tensioner having a piston sliding around an outside surface of a pin or rod, so that the high pressure chamber for chain control is created by the area between the piston internal diameter and the rod outside diameter. A spring around the outside of the rod presses against the bottom of the piston, biasing the piston outward during low oil pressure conditions. Preferably, the piston is steel and the rod is aluminum, the reverse of prior art designs, which means that as temperature increases, the piston to bore clearance reduces. This can offset the oil viscosity reduction and maintain the same performance over operating temperatures.

The cylinder head cover includes a metal cover member forming one end of the cylinder head cover in an engine length direction and a portion adjacent to the one end, and a resin cover member forming a portion of the cylinder head cover other than the metal cover member. The metal cover member is provided with a cam angle sensor attachment to which a cam angle sensor is attached, the cam angle sensor detecting a rotational position of a camshaft of the engine.

The dual sprocket includes a damping portion for connecting the first and second sprockets. The damping portion is configured to exert a resilient force in a rotational direction of the first and second sprockets.

The cushion ring assembly also each includes a retention ring which is partially embedded within the cushion ring and which engages the hub radially outer surface in an interference fit, the retention ring providing axial and radial retention of the cushion ring to the hub.

摘要: A chain transmission device for driving camshafts includes a chain including a loose side chain portion, and the chain is trained around the crank sprocket and the cam sprockets. A chain guide is mounted on the outer side of the loose side chain portion so as to be pivotable about one of the two end portions of the chain guide, and the chain guide has a plurality of rotatable rollers. An adjustment force is applied to the other of the two end portions of the chain guide by a chain tensioner such that the chain guide is biased toward the chain, so that the rollers of the chain guide can guide the chain by rolling. The winding angle of the portion of the chain located on the outer periphery of the roller located closest to the crank sprocket is set to be 170 degrees or greater so as to reduce noise.
