    摘要: A combustion engine for a vehicle includes a first centrifugal device for varying timing of a first plurality of suction or relief valves with respect to the drive shaft. A driving disc is mounted idle on a first camshaft which controls the valves, and at least one driven disc is integral with the camshaft. Drive elements for transmitting motion from the driving disc to the driven disc are interposed between the two discs causing a relative rotation of the driven disc with respect to the driving disc when the rotation speed of the discs exceeds a predetermined threshold. A distribution system connects the drive shaft with the driving disc so as to cause the rotation thereof. A second gear meshes with a first gear so that rotation of the driving disc mounted on the first camshaft causes the rotation of the second camshaft to control other valves of the engine.

    摘要: A hydraulic tensioner having a piston sliding around an outside surface of a pin or rod, so that the high pressure chamber for chain control is created by the area between the piston internal diameter and the rod outside diameter. A spring around the outside of the rod presses against the bottom of the piston, biasing the piston outward during low oil pressure conditions. Preferably, the piston is steel and the rod is aluminum, the reverse of prior art designs, which means that as temperature increases, the piston to bore clearance reduces. This can offset the oil viscosity reduction and maintain the same performance over operating temperatures.

    摘要: A driving force transmission system for an engine is provided with a crank sprocket mounted on a crankshaft, cam sprockets mounted on camshafts, an intermediate shaft disposed between the crankshaft and the camshafts, a dual sprocket mounted on the intermediate shaft, and including a first sprocket and a second sprocket facing each other in a state that the first and second sprockets are rotatable relative to each other, a first endless transmission member wound around the crank sprocket and the first sprocket, and a second endless transmission member wound around the cam sprocket and the second sprocket. The dual sprocket includes a damping portion for connecting the first and second sprockets. The damping portion is configured to exert a resilient force in a rotational direction of the first and second sprockets.
