摘要: The present disclosure relates to a vehicle exhaust assembly (1) for an internal combustion engine. The vehicle exhaust assembly (1) comprises an exhaust system (3) and an exhaust mounting assembly (4) for mounting the exhaust system (3) to a vehicle (2). The exhaust system (3) comprises an inlet section (5) for connection to the internal combustion engine; an intermediate section (6) connected to the inlet section (5); an outlet section (7) for exhausting gases from the internal combustion engine; and one or more exhaust decoupler (8) for decoupling the intermediate section (6) from the inlet section (5). The exhaust mounting assembly (4) comprises one or more first isolator device (20-1, 20-2) for resiliently constraining movement of the intermediate section (6) of the exhaust system (3) in a longitudinal direction; and one or more second isolator device (20-3, 20-4) for resiliently constraining movement of the outlet section (7) of the vehicle (2) exhaust in a transverse direction. The present disclosure also relates to a vehicle (2) including a vehicle exhaust assembly (1).

摘要: An exhaust system is provided for an internal combustion engine having at least a first and a second cylinder, wherein the first cylinder is assigned a first exhaust gas pipe and the second cylinder is assigned a second exhaust gas pipe. The first exhaust gas pipe is assigned a first muffler, and the second exhaust gas pipe is assigned a second muffler. A first damping pipe branches off from the first exhaust gas pipe upstream of a first shut-off element. The damping pipe firstly opens into a first reflection chamber and is subsequently led through the first muffler and opens into the second exhaust gas manifold downstream of a second shut-off element. A second damping pipe branches off from the second exhaust gas pipe upstream of a second shut-off element. The second damping pipe firstly opens into a second reflection chamber and is subsequently led through the second muffler and opens into the first exhaust gas pipe downstream of the first shut-off element.

摘要: Provided are emissions treatment systems for an exhaust stream having an ammonia-generating component, such as a NOx storage reduction (NSR) catalyst or a lean NOx trap (LNT) catalyst, and an SCR catalyst disposed downstream of the ammonia-generating catalyst. The SCR catalyst can be a molecular sieve having the CHA crystal structure, for example SSZ-13 or SAPO-34, which can be ion-exchanged with copper. The LNT can be layered, having an undercoat washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and at least one NOx sorbent selected from the group consisting of alkaline earth elements, rare earth elements, and combinations thereof and a top washcoat layer comprising a support material, at least one precious metal, and ceria in particulate form, the top washcoat layer being substantially free of alkaline earth components. The emissions treatment system is advantageously used for the treatment of exhaust streams from diesel engines and lean burn gasoline engines.

The emissions control system has an exhaust after-treatment system defining a plurality of distinct exhaust flow passages through which at least a portion of an exhaust stream can flow, e.g., the exhaust stream is produced by an engine. The emissions control system also includes a controller for controlling injection of reductant into the exhaust stream flowing through each of the flow passages. In one example, the emissions control system is configured for use in a vehicle, such as a locomotive or other rail vehicle.

The exhaust gas turbocharger, the oxidation catalytic converter, the feed device for the urea-water solution, the particle filter, and the SCR catalytic converter are situated together on the engine block along one side thereof, the side being oriented essentially perpendicularly with respect to an output side of the engine block.

摘要: The assembly for purification of exhaust gases comprises an upstream conduit and a downstream conduit positioned parallel to each other. A space has an exhaust gas inlet communicating with the upstream conduit and an exhaust gas outlet communicating with the downstream conduit. A middle line divides the inlet into first and second areas providing a same passage section to the exhaust gases.The assembly comprises a baffle covering at least 75% of the first area and covering less than 25% of the second area. The baffle and the space are laid out so that a portion of the exhaust gases penetrate through the first area of the inlet flows into the space along flow lines forming a cusp around the baffle.

The aftertreatment module may have an inlet housing at least partially defining an inlet passage for exhaust, and at least one mixer disposed in the inlet passage. The aftertreatment module may also have an outlet housing at least partially defining an outlet passage for exhaust, and a catalyst housing removably connected between the inlet housing and the outlet housing. The aftertreatment module may further have a plurality of catalyst substrates configured to be mounted in the catalyst housing, to receive exhaust from the inlet passage in parallel, and to discharge exhaust to the outlet housing in parallel.

摘要: A device and a method for reducing carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides and soot particles present in the exhaust gases of diesel engines are provided. The device includes 1) a diesel oxidation catalyst for the oxidation of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons and nitrogen monoxide; 2) a first unit by means of which ammonia and/or a compound that breaks down to form ammonia can be metered into the exhaust gas that is to be purified; 3) a catalytically activated particulate filter, containing a wall-flow filter substrate comprising a catalytically active material that promotes the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides to form nitrogen; 4) a second unit by means of which ammonia and/or a compound that breaks down to form ammonia can be metered into the exhaust gas that is to be purified; as well as 5) a catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides to form nitrogen.
