摘要: A vehicle exhaust system includes an exhaust pipe defining an exhaust gas flow path, a heat recovery device connected to the exhaust pipe, and a diverter valve that controls exhaust gas flow between the exhaust pipe and heat recovery device. The diverter valve is moveable between at least a heat recovery mode where the diverter valve blocks flow through the exhaust pipe and directs flow into the heat recovery device, a full bypass acoustic mode where the diverter valve blocks flow through the heat recovery device and directs flow through the exhaust pipe, a transition mode where the diverter valve partially blocks flow through the heat recovery device and partially blocks flow through the exhaust pipe, and a partial bypass acoustic mode where the diverter valve blocks flow through the heat recovery device and partially blocks flow through the exhaust pipe.

摘要: The muffler for a motorized vehicle includes a housing with an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber, an exhaust inlet, and an exhaust outlet. The muffler includes a first channel with a first noise dampening amount that is within the housing interior, to fluidly connect the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber. The muffler includes second channel with a second noise dampening amount that is within the housing interior between the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber. The first noise dampening amount is greater than the second noise dampening amount. A valve selectively fluidly connects the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber thorough the second channel, and is configured to variably obstruct the flow of exhaust gas through the second channel. In various embodiments, the muffler has more than one inlet chamber and more than one exhaust outlet.

摘要: A sound generator (100) mounts on a vehicle to manipulate vehicle noise originating from a vehicle operated by an internal combustion engine. The sound generator (100) includes a casing (110), a loudspeaker (120), and at least one pressure compensation valve (130). The loudspeaker (120) and the casing (110) together thereby enclose a volume (115). Further, the pressure compensation valve (130) couples the volume (115) enclosed by the loudspeaker (120) and the casing to an outside of the casing (110). The pressure compensation valve (130) thereby extends through a plane in which the loudspeaker (120) is located. A system (200) for manipulating sound waves propagating through exhaust systems of vehicles driven by an internal combustion engine uses the above sound generator (100).

摘要: An apparatus comprises an input chamber being configured for accepting a flow of material. An output chamber is configured for flowing the material along a first pathway and a second pathway. A diverter member is disposed within the input chamber. The diverter member comprises a half wing shape pivotally joined at a juncture of the input chamber and the output chamber. The diverter member is operable to be positioned at a first position for diverting the flow to the first pathway and to be positioned at a second position for diverting the flow to the second pathway. A lever mechanism is configured to be operable for moving the diverter member between the first position and the second position in which the flow is uninterrupted.

摘要: An exhaust system is provided for an internal combustion engine having at least a first and a second cylinder, wherein the first cylinder is assigned a first exhaust gas pipe and the second cylinder is assigned a second exhaust gas pipe. The first exhaust gas pipe is assigned a first muffler, and the second exhaust gas pipe is assigned a second muffler. A first damping pipe branches off from the first exhaust gas pipe upstream of a first shut-off element. The damping pipe firstly opens into a first reflection chamber and is subsequently led through the first muffler and opens into the second exhaust gas manifold downstream of a second shut-off element. A second damping pipe branches off from the second exhaust gas pipe upstream of a second shut-off element. The second damping pipe firstly opens into a second reflection chamber and is subsequently led through the second muffler and opens into the first exhaust gas pipe downstream of the first shut-off element.

摘要: A silencer comprises a casing, an inlet pipe for introducing an exhaust into the casing, and an outlet pipe for discharging the exhaust out of the casing. A lid is provided at an exhaust inflow side opening of the outlet pipe and arranged to close the exhaust inflow side opening. The lid has an exhaust inlet for flowing the exhaust into the outlet pipe, a valve body for opening and closing the exhaust inlet, and at least one communication hole formed separately from the exhaust inlet. The valve body is configured to be rotationally movable about a rotation axis of the valve body inside the outlet pipe. The at least one communication hole is provided closer to the rotation axis of the valve body than the exhaust inlet.

摘要: An exhaust muffler device for an combustion engine includes: a first expansion chamber into which exhaust gas from a combustion engine flows; a second expansion chamber disposed downstream of the first expansion chamber; a resonance chamber that is disposed adjacent to the first expansion chamber and communicates with an exhaust passage; a discharge passage through which the exhaust gas that flows into the resonance chamber is discharged to the outside; and an exhaust valve disposed in a second partition wall between the first expansion chamber and the resonance chamber. The exhaust valve opens when pressure in the first expansion chamber attains a value greater than a predetermined value.

摘要: A silencer arrangement for exhaust systems of motor vehicles having internal combustion engines includes at least one rear exhaust silencer having at least one exhaust pipe for guiding the exhaust gas and at least one actuatable adjustment device. At least one adjustment body, which can be displaced between an exhaust closing position and an exhaust opening position, is associated with the at least one rear exhaust silencer. The silencer arrangement also includes an exhaust bypass device having at least one connection piece. It is arranged upstream of the at least one rear exhaust silencer for connecting to an exhaust manifold device. The bypass device includes at least one exhaust bypass pipe body which is fluidly connected to the at least one connection piece and has at least one exhaust bypass outlet for releasing the exhaust gas from the silencer arrangement.
