摘要: An exhaust duct assembly for conveying exhaust gases emanating from a combustion zone to atmosphere is disclosed. The assembly includes: an exhaust gas outlet for exhausting exhaust gas into the atmosphere; and an acoustic duct portion located upstream of the exhaust gas outlet, the acoustic duct portion having a peripheral wall defining a through-passage arranged and constructed to promote propagation of sound there-through. The acoustic duct portion has a length in a flow direction that is at least 50% of an average hydraulic diameter of the through-passage.

摘要: A muffler for an exhaust system has a muffler housing with an inlet chamber fluidically connected an outlet chamber. The inlet chamber has an inlet pipe for supplying an exhaust gas stream into the inlet chamber, and the outlet chamber has an outlet pipe for discharging the exhaust gas stream from the outlet chamber, wherein the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe each have a first pipe portion and a second pipe portion. The inlet pipe and the outlet pipe in the respective first pipe portions are circumferentially impermeable to the exhaust gas stream and are circumferentially porous in the respective second pipe portions. The first pipe portions each have a predetermined length, such that a λ/4 resonator is formed between the respective first pipe portions and walls of the muffler housing associated with the respective first pipe portions.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a vehicle muffler includes: forming a tubular body (6; 91, 92) from a nonwoven fabric (2; 2A, 2B) composed of inorganic fibers (11) each being in a filament form; inserting and installing the tubular body (6) as a sound-absorbing material into a space (S) between an inner pipe (72; 81) and an outer pipe (71; 821, 822) of an inner-outer double pipe constituting a vehicle muffler. The tubular body (6) may be obtained by applying a binder (3) to one surface (2a) of the nonwoven fabric (2), then rolling the nonwoven fabric (2) into a tubular shape with the surface (2a) having the binder (3) applied thereto facing inward, infiltrating additional binder (3) into an outer peripheral surface of the tubular-shaped nonwoven fabric (2), and then heating the tubular-shaped nonwoven fabric (2) to a predetermined temperature to harden the binder (3).

摘要: Systems and methods are provided for a combined spark arrestor and muffler assembly. In one example, a system may include a combined housing, the combined housing including a spark arrestor portion including a plurality of stator fins, and a muffler portion including acoustic packing, the muffler portion fluidically coupled to the spark arrestor portion via a first sliding joint and a second sliding joint. In this way, a single component of a vehicle exhaust system may reduce sparks and/or carbon deposits in exhaust gas, while also reducing exhaust noise.

摘要: An air dryer includes a supporting base, a drying agent container, and an outer cover. The supporting base includes an inlet for receiving compressed air to be subject to a drying process and an outlet for delivering the processed compressed air that has undergone the drying process. The drying agent container is a container supported on the supporting base, contains a drying agent in the interior, and enables the drying process to be performed by passing the compressed air from the inlet through the drying agent. The outer cover surrounds the outer side of the drying agent container on the supporting base and defines a chamber for storing the compressed air between itself and the drying agent container. The supporting base includes first and second mounting surfaces, which are oriented in different directions, and a plurality of inlets, which are oriented in different directions and receive the compressed air.
