摘要: An aftertreatment system for treating constituents of an exhaust gas includes: a housing defining a first internal volume and a second internal volume; an oxidation catalyst in the first internal volume and extending along a first axis, the oxidation catalyst configured to receive at least a portion of the exhaust gas via an inlet conduit fluidly coupled to the oxidation catalyst; a filter in the first internal volume and extending along a second axis parallel to and offset from the first axis, wherein an outlet of the filter is disposed within the second internal volume and configured to emit the exhaust gas into the second internal volume; at least one selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst in the second internal volume and extending along a third axis that is perpendicular to the first axis; and a decomposition tube in the second internal volume in a direction parallel to the third axis.

摘要: An exhaust aftertreatment apparatus comprising: a) a reactor portion which is tubular and has a flow axis parallel with its longitudinal axis, wherein the reactor portion is configured to receive an exhaust stream in a first end region; b) a mixer located within the reactor portion and located downstream of the first end region, wherein the mixer includes at least a portion of a mixing tube which extends at an angle transverse to the longitudinal axis of the reactor portion; c) an outer tube located about at least a portion of the mixing tube and projecting from an exterior of the reactor portion; and d) an injector in fluid communication with the outer tube and the mixing tube and distanced from the reactor portion, wherein the injector is configured to spray a reductant toward the outer tube and the mixing tube.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for adjusting an ammonia (NH3) sensor output using readings of a nitrogen oxide (NOx) sensor, the NOx sensor having a sensitivity factor to NH3. In one example, a method may include determining and updating a gain value of the NH3 sensor during zero NOx conditions to be used to calculate a corrected NH3 sensor output value, and determining and updating an offset value of the NH3 sensor during zero NH3 conditions to be used to zero the NH3 sensor during zero NOx conditions.

摘要: An exhaust gas system includes an engine-turbine exhaust gas conduit, a turbocharger, a turbine-housing exhaust gas conduit, an injection housing, a dosing module, and a bypass system. The engine-turbine exhaust gas conduit is configured to receive exhaust gas. The turbocharger includes a turbine. The turbine is coupled to the engine-turbine exhaust gas conduit. The turbine-housing exhaust gas conduit is coupled to the turbine. The injection housing is coupled to the turbine-housing exhaust gas conduit and centered on an injection housing axis. The dosing module is coupled to the injection housing and includes an injector. The injector is configured to dose reductant into the injection housing. The injector is centered on an injector axis. The bypass system includes a bypass inlet conduit, a bypass valve, and a bypass outlet conduit. The bypass inlet conduit is coupled to the engine-turbine exhaust gas conduit.

摘要: An aftertreatment system includes an upstream particulate filter, a decomposition chamber, a decomposition chamber dosing module, a first downstream catalyst member, and a downstream particulate filter. The decomposition chamber is positioned downstream of the upstream particulate filter. The decomposition chamber dosing module is coupled to the decomposition chamber and is configured to provide downstream treatment fluid into the decomposition chamber. The first downstream catalyst member is positioned downstream of the decomposition chamber and comprises a first downstream catalyst substrate configured to facilitate treatment of exhaust gas. The downstream particulate filter positioned downstream of the first downstream catalyst member.

摘要: There is provided a control device that controls an injection amount of a reducing agent to be supplied to a selective reduction catalyst provided in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine. The control device includes a pre-correction injection amount calculation unit configured to calculate a pre-correction injection amount of the reducing agent based on an operating state of the engine, and an injection amount correction unit configured to calculate a corrected injection amount obtained by correcting the pre-correction injection amount, based on a rate of change over time of a rotation speed of the engine and a rate of change over time of a fuel injection amount of the engine, such that the injection amount of the reducing agent increases when at least both the rate of change over time of the rotation speed and the rate of change over time of the fuel injection amount are positive.

摘要: A heater for an exhaust system that includes a housing having a connector coupled to the exterior thereof, a first terminal and a second terminal that are each disposed to the interior of the housing and electrically coupled to the connector, a heating element coupled to the first and second terminals, a heating wire coupled to the first and second terminals, and a plurality of heating rods inserted into the heating element to conduct heat from the heating wire throughout the heating element, wherein the connector receives power from an external power supply to supply electrical current to the heating element and the heating wire and wherein at least one of the heating rods supports the heating wire. The combination of elements are configured to heat and disrupt the flow of exhaust gases and aid in removing and/or reducing toxic gases and pollutants from the exhaust system.

摘要: An exhaust aftertreatment system, EATS, for converting NOx emissions in exhaust gases from an engine. The EATS includes a fluid channel for providing a fluid pathway for the exhaust gases; a selective catalytic reduction, SCR, catalyst arranged in the fluid channel, the SCR catalyst being configured to store ammonia; an injector configured to inject a reductant for providing ammonia to the SCR catalyst, the injector being arranged upstream of the SCR catalyst; a fluid flow inducer configured to cause an induced fluid flow in at least a part of the fluid channel when the engine is turned off; and a controlling apparatus configured to precondition the EATS prior to engine start by injecting the reductant into the fluid channel, and transport the reductant into the SCR catalyst by the induced fluid flow to store ammonia in the SCR catalyst.
