    摘要: An exhaust system for a lean-burn internal combustion engine comprises a catalyst for oxidising carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons comprising a flow-through substrate monolith comprising a first platinum group metal (PGM) zone containing at least one PGM supported on a surface area-increasing washcoat component, a second PGM zone containing at least one PGM supported on a surface area-increasing washcoat component, a third PGM zone containing at least one PGM supported on a surface area-increasing washcoat component wherein both the PGM loading in the first PGM zone and the PGM loading in the third PGM zone is greater than the PGM loading in the second PGM zone and wherein the first PGM zone comprises a washcoat loading that is less than a washcoat loading of the third PGM zone.

    摘要: A catalyzed diesel particulate filter (CDPF) and a method for filtering particulates from diesel engine exhaust are provided, where the catalyzed diesel particulate filter includes a substrate and a catalyst composition, where the catalyst composition contains at least one first component, at least one second component, and at least one third component, where the first component is at least one first component selected from the group consisting of cerium and a lanthanide and mixtures thereof, the at least one second component is selected from the group consisting of cobalt, copper, manganese and mixtures thereof; and the third component comprises strontium, where the first component, the second component, and the third component are in an oxide form after calcination. The catalyst on the catalyzed diesel particulate filter lowers the temperature at which particulates are removed from the CDPF by oxidizing the particulates on the filter. The catalyzed diesel particulate filter may also include a washcoat. Washcoats prepared from colloidal aluminum oxide may have higher surface areas and pore volumes loadings than washcoats containing aluminum oxide prepared from aluminum nitrate.

    摘要: This invention provides an exhaust gas purification catalyst, which can burn PM (particulate matter) at a temperature below the temperature required in the prior art technique and can realize a high PM combustion rate at elevated temperatures, and an exhaust gas purification apparatus using the exhaust gas purification catalyst. The exhaust gas purification catalyst comprises a composite oxide having oxygen release properties and Ag and a noble metal co-supported on the composite oxide. The exhaust gas purification catalyst and an exhaust gas purification apparatus (1) using the exhaust gas purification catalyst can increase the PM combustion rate at elevated temperatures and, at the same time, can burn PM at a temperature below the temperature required in the prior art technique. Further, fuel consumption loss caused by forced regeneration, EM deterioration, and catalyst deterioration can be suppressed, and, thus, the load on automobiles can be reduced.
