摘要: A method of recovering catalyst performance includes providing a vanadium selective catalytic reduction (VSCR) catalyst. The method includes exposing the VSCR catalyst to a first humidity level in a range of 50%-100% relative humidity, at a first temperature in a range of 20° C.-100° C., for a first period of time of at least two hours. The method includes thermally treating the VSCR catalyst at a second temperature in a range of 300° C.-600° C. for a second period of time of at least than one hour.

摘要: Controlling exhaust after-treatment in a heavy-duty motor vehicle includes operating a diesel engine of a heavy-duty truck such that the diesel engine generates an exhaust gas flow that enters an exhaust after-treatment system of the heavy-duty truck, the exhaust after-treatment system including a selective catalytic reduction system, measuring a level of NOx gases in the exhaust gas flow downstream of the selective catalytic reduction system, and controlling a diesel exhaust fluid injector upstream of the selective catalytic reduction system to inject diesel exhaust fluid into the exhaust gas flow upstream of the selective catalytic reduction system at an injection rate that is based on the measured level of NOx gases.

The system may comprise: an internal combustion engine having an intake passage and an exhaust passage; a turbocharger fluidly connected to the internal combustion engine, the turbocharger including a compressor and a turbine, the compressor being in fluid communication with the intake passage, and the turbine being in fluid communication with the exhaust passage; a reductant injector situated downstream of the turbocharger, wherein the reductant injector is closely coupled to the turbocharger such that a reductant is injected into an exhaust flow of the turbocharger; a first container downstream of the reductant injector, the first container including a multi-functional catalyst (MFC); and a second container downstream of the first container, the second container including a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) component and an Ammonia catalyst (AMOx) component.

摘要: An exhaust treatment system includes an exhaust line, a series of emission treatment units, and an electronic control unit. The series of emission treatment units includes a catalytic unit, a particulate filter unit, an oxidation catalytic unit, a hydrogen injection unit, and a Lean NOx Trap (LNT) for trapping select emissions. A method of operating an exhaust treatment system includes introducing a fuel to a combustion engine of a motor vehicle, directing emissions from the combustion engine to an exhaust line, and passing the emissions in the exhaust line through a series of emission treatment units on the exhaust line. The method further includes injecting hydrogen into the exhaust line via a hydrogen injection unit, where an amount of hydrogen gas injected from a hydrogen inlet line reduces the trapped emissions in the LNT to an inert gas.

摘要: During execution of a first purification process of fluctuating a hydrocarbon concentration in exhaust gas flowing into a first catalyst with an amplitude within a prescribed range at a time interval within a prescribed range, when a switch request to a second purification process of purifying NOx in a second catalyst by adding urea water into the exhaust gas is generated, the switch to the second purification process is prohibited on the condition that a current NOx purification rate (a first purification rate R1) is higher than a purification rate (a second purification rate R2) on the assumption that the second purification process is executed, and an HC poisoning recovery stand-by process of reducing an additive amount of hydrocarbon per once in the first purification process is executed so as to reduce a slip amount of hydrocarbon into the downstream of the first catalyst.

摘要: A vapor canister of an evaporative emissions (EVAP) system is configured to store fuel vapor evaporated from a liquid fuel housed in a fuel tank of a vehicle. A boost line is connected between a high-pressure side of a boost system of an engine and the vapor canister, a boost pressure control valve is disposed in-line along the boost line and configured to control an amount of boost pressure provided to the vapor canister, and a set of purge lines are connected between the vapor canister and at least one of the engine, an induction system of the engine, and an exhaust treatment system of the engine. A controller is configured to control the boost pressure control valve to control the boost pressure provided to the vapor canister to control an amount of fuel vapor forced from the vapor canister through at least one of the set of purge lines.

摘要: The embodiments include: a NOx occlusion/reduction catalyst which is provided to an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine, occludes NOx in exhaust when the exhaust is in a lean state, and reduces and purifies occluded NOx when the exhaust is in a rich state; a NOx purging control unit which, when the exhaust is in the rich state, executes NOx purging in which the NOx occluded in the NOx occlusion/reduction catalyst is reduced and purified; and a NOx-purging-prohibition processing unit which, when at least one of a plurality of prohibition conditions is fulfilled, prohibits execution of catalyst regeneration processing by the NOx purging control unit even if a catalyst-regeneration-processing start request has been issued, and, when one of the prohibition conditions is fulfilled during execution of the catalyst regeneration processing, invalidates the prohibition condition and allows continued execution of the catalyst regeneration processing by the NOx purging control unit.

摘要: An exhaust purification system includes: an NOx reduction type catalyst, which is provided in an exhaust system; a temperature acquisition unit, which acquires a catalyst temperature of the NOx reduction type catalyst; and a regeneration treatment unit, which executes a catalyst regeneration to recover an NOx purification capacity, wherein the regeneration treatment unit alternately executes a rich control, in which an exhaust air fuel ratio is set to a rich state to raise a temperature of the NOx reduction type catalyst to a predetermined target temperature, and a lean control, in which the exhaust air fuel ratio is set to a lean state to lower the temperature of the NOx reduction type catalyst, and sets an execution period of the lean control based on a deviation between the catalyst temperature acquired by the temperature acquisition unit during the previous rich control and the target temperature.

摘要: An exhaust gas cleaning system for an internal combustion engine is provided with, in an exhaust passage of an internal combustion engine and in order from an upstream side: a hydrocarbon supply unit; an upstream side catalyst unit of an oxidation catalyst, a NOx reduction catalyst, or the like; and a catalyst-equipped fine particle collection filter having a hydrocarbon adsorption function, wherein when a vehicle on which the engine is mounted accelerates after driving for a preset set time period at a temperature of exhaust gas equal to or less than a preset set exhaust gas temperature, the supply of hydrocarbon into the exhaust gas is started when an exhaust gas temperature becomes equal to or more than a preset first set temperature, and the supply of hydrocarbon is terminated when a preset termination condition is satisfied.
