摘要: The present invention combines the advantages of fabrication of semiconductor heterostructure (Ag3PO4—WO3) with plasmonic metals (Pt and Ag) with optical interference to optimize the visible light photo response of plasmonic metals deposited semiconductor (Pt—Ag/Ag3PO4—WO3) for visible light assisted H2 generation utilizing the aqueous bio-alcohols. Crystalline Ag3PO4 and WO3 nanofibers were synthesized by microwave and electrospinning methods. Three different WO3 nanofibers composition (5, 10 and 15 wt. %) were used to obtain Ag3PO4/WO3 nanocomposite heterostructures, which are effective visible light active photo catalysts. Further, a simple, enviro-friendly, and cost-effective biogenic synthesis method have been achieved using Salvia officinalis extract to decorate Pt and Ag metal nanoparticles on the surface of Ag3PO4—WO3 composites. Presence of bioactive agents in the extract are responsible for the Pt and Ag3PO4 reduction and for prevention of the Pt nanoparticles from aggregation in aqueous medium.

摘要: A catalyst support comprising at least 95% silicon carbide, having surface areas of ≤10 m2/g and pore volumes of ≤1 cc/g. A method of producing a catalyst support, the method including mixing SiC particles of 0.1-20 microns, SiO2 and carbonaceous materials to form an extrusion, under inert atmospheres, heating the extrusion at temperatures of greater than 1400° C., and removing residual carbon from the heated support under temperatures below 1000° C. A catalyst on a carrier, comprising a carrier support having at least about 95% SiC, with a silver solution impregnated thereon comprising silver oxide, ethylenediamine, oxalic acid, monoethanolamine and cesium hydroxide. A process for oxidation reactions (e.g., for the production of ethylene oxide, or oxidation reactions using propane or methane), or for endothermic reactions (e.g., dehydrogenation of paraffins, of ethyl benzene, or cracking and hydrocracking hydrocarbons).

摘要: A photocatalytic material for efficient photocatalytic removal of a high-concentration nitrate, and a preparation method and use thereof are disclosed. The preparation method includes the following steps: step 1: preparation of a citrate-stabilized silver nanoparticle; step 2: synthesis and functionalization modification of SiO2 step 3: preparation of Ag/SiO2; and step 4: preparation of an Ag/SiO2@cTiO2 core-shell structure. The photocatalytic material prepared by the present disclosure has high reduction catalytic activity and can quickly remove a high-concentration nitrate and achieve high nitrogen selectivity. In addition, due to protection of a titanium dioxide shell, the photocatalytic material has excellent stability and can remove a high-concentration nitrate in water when the nitrate coexists with a high-concentration chloride ion.

The SSA after aging and the initial SSA are as defined in the description. The Y—Mn—O ratio is a mass ratio of Y—Mn—O to the sum of Y—Mn—O and Al2O3 in the composition for exhaust gas purification, being represented by Y—Mn—O/(Y—Mn—O+Al2O3).

摘要: The present disclosure relates to methods for selectively hydrogenating acetylene, to methods for starting up a selective hydrogenation reactor, and to hydrogenation catalysts useful in such methods. In one aspect, the disclosure provides a method for selectively hydrogenating acetylene, the method comprising contacting a catalyst composition with a process gas. The catalyst composition comprises a porous support, palladium, and one or more ionic liquids. The process gas includes ethylene, present in the process gas in an amount of at least 20 mol. %; and acetylene, present in the process gas in an amount of at least 1 ppm. At least 90% of the acetylene present in the process gas is hydrogenated, and the selective hydrogenation is conducted without thermal runaway. Notably, the process gas is contacted with the catalyst at a gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) based on total catalyst volume in one bed or multiple beds of at least 7,100 h−1.

摘要: An ethylene oxide (EO) reactor is provided in which a removable impingement basket is configured to be inserted into the reactor inlet pipe of the EO reactor. The removable impingement basket provides protection for the silver-based catalyst filled tubes and other components that are present inside the EO reactor as well as providing another access point into the EO reactor. The removable impingement basket also can provide better distribution of the inlet gas as compared to an EO reactor containing a non-removable impingement plate.
