    摘要: The present disclosure relates to a method for effecting catalytic selective oxidation in liquid phase comprising a perfluorinated solvent and an olefinic compound with molecular oxygen to produce an epoxide. The method may provide enhanced selectivity to the epoxide of greater than 60%. The olefinic compound may be ethylene, propylene, butenes, 1-octene, butadiene, allyl chloride, allyl alcohol, styrene, and the like. The perfluorinated solvent may be perfluoro methyldecalin, perfluorodecalin, perfluoroperhydrophenanthrene, perfluoro (butyltetrahydrofuran), isomers thereof, or a combination thereof. In some embodiments, the method includes catalytically epoxidizing, in a liquid phase comprising a perfluorinated solvent, propylene with molecular oxygen to produce propylene oxide. A system for carrying out the method is also provided, the system comprising a source of a perfluorinated solvent, and a liquid phase reactor fluidly connected with the source, and configured for effecting catalytic selective oxidation, in a liquid phase comprising the perfluorinated solvent, of an olefinic compound with molecular oxygen to produce an epoxide.

    摘要: A process for producing propylene oxide from propylene is disclosed. The process comprises reacting propylene and an oxidant selected from the group consisting of hydrogen peroxide and oxygen in a slurry comprising a catalyst and a solvent having a boiling point of 110° C. or lower to produce a reaction mixture. The reaction mixture including the catalyst is distilled to produce a vapor stream comprising propylene, propylene oxide, and at least a portion of the solvent, and a slurry stream comprising the solvent and the catalyst. At least a portion of the slurry stream is recycled to the reaction step.

    摘要: A catalyst, useful for the direct epoxidation of olefins, is disclosed. The catalyst comprises palladium nanoparticles, support nanoparticles, and a titanium zeolite having a particle size of 2 microns or greater. The palladium nanoparticles are deposited on the support nanoparticles to form supported palladium nanoparticles, and the supported palladium nanoparticles are deposited on the titanium zeolite; or the supported palladium nanoparticles are deposited on a carrier having a particle size of 2 microns or greater. The invention also includes a process for producing an epoxide comprising reacting an olefin, hydrogen and oxygen in the presence of the catalyst. The catalysts are more active in epoxidation reactions, while demonstrating the same or better selectivity.

    摘要: Methods for the epoxidation of alkenes are provided. The methods include the steps of exposing the alkene to a two-component catalyst system in an aqueous solution in the presence of carbon monoxide and molecular oxygen under conditions in which the alkene is epoxidized. The two-component catalyst system comprises a first catalyst that generates peroxides or peroxy intermediates during oxidation of CO with molecular oxygen and a second catalyst that catalyzes the epoxidation of the alkene using the peroxides or peroxy intermediates. A catalyst system composed of particles of suspended gold and titanium silicalite is one example of a suitable two-component catalyst system.
