摘要: Provided is an exhaust gas purification catalyst having a catalyst performance and an OSC performance in a compatible manner in an air-fuel ratio (A/F) rich atmosphere where HC poisoning is likely to occur. The exhaust gas purification catalyst includes a substrate and a catalyst coating layer coated on the substrate. The catalyst coating layer includes a first catalyst coating layer containing Pd and/or Pt as a catalyst metal and a second catalyst coating layer containing Rh as a catalyst metal. The first catalyst coating layer is formed from an end portion in an upstream side with respect to an exhaust gas flow direction in the exhaust gas purification catalyst. The second catalyst coating layer includes a high specific surface area OSC material having a specific surface area of more than 40 m2/g, a medium specific surface area OSC material having a specific surface area of 4 m2/g to 40 m2/g, and a low specific surface area OSC material having a specific surface area of less than 4 m2/g.

摘要: The present invention relates to a particulate filter which comprises a wall-flow filter of length L and two different catalytically active coatings Y and Z, wherein the wall flow filter comprises channels E and A that extend in parallel between a first and a second end of the wall-flow filter and are separated by porous walls which form the surfaces OE and OA, respectively, and wherein the channels E are closed at the second end and the channels A are closed at the first end. The invention is characterized in that the coating Y is located in the channels E on the surfaces OE and the coating Z is located in the porous walls.

摘要: A novel exhaust gas purifying catalyst, method for producing same, and an exhaust gas purification device using same, which are capable of maintaining catalytic activity of a precious metal at a higher level than compared with conventional exhaust gas purifying catalysts. An exhaust gas purifying catalyst having a first carrier particle, a second carrier particle, and a precious metal catalyst particle carried on the first and second carrier particles, wherein: the first carrier particle contains a rare-earth oxide other than ceria and at least one metal oxide selected from the group consisting of silica, alumina, ceria, zirconia, and titania; the second carrier particle contains a rare-earth oxide other than ceria; and the contained amount of the rare-earth oxide in the second carrier particle is higher than the contained amount of the rare-earth oxide in the first carrier particle.

摘要: Described is a catalyst composition suitable for use as a selective catalytic reduction catalyst, including small-pore molecular sieve particles having a pore structure and a maximum ring size of eight tetrahedral atoms and impregnated with a promoter metal, and metal oxide particles dispersed within the small-pore molecular sieve particles and external to the pore structure of the small-pore molecular sieve particles, wherein the metal oxide particles include one or more oxides of a transition metal or lanthanide of Group 3 or Group 4 of the Periodic Table. A method for preparing the catalyst, a method for selectively reducing nitrogen oxides, and an exhaust gas treatment system are also described.

摘要: Provided is a GPF capable of exhibiting better than conventional three-way purification function. A gasoline particulate filter (GPF) that is provided in an exhaust pipe of an engine and that performs purification by capturing particulate matter (PM) in exhaust gas is provided with a filter substrate in which a plurality of cells extending from an exhaust gas inflow-side end face to an outflow-side end face are defined by porous partition walls and in which openings at the inflow-side end face and openings at the outflow-side end face of the cells are alternately sealed; and a three-way catalyst (TWC) supported by the partition wall. The three-way catalyst is the GPF comprising a catalytic metal containing at least Rh, and a composite oxide having an oxygen storage capacity and containing Nd and Pr in a crystal structure.

The processes provide (1) contacting air with a filter comprising by volume from about 5% to about 95% impregnated zirconium hydroxide, from about 5% to about 95% activated impregnated carbon, and optionally, up to about 50% ammonia removal material; and (2) supplying the contacted air to a confined area.
