摘要: An apparatus and a method are provided for a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) air filter to remove airborne molecular contaminants and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from air within building spaces. The air filter comprises a support frame having a shape and size suitable to orient the air filter within a HVAC system. A compound filter medium is retained within the support frame to remove the airborne molecular contaminants and VOCs from air flowing through the HVAC system. A portion of the first media layer is pleated and may comprise a combination of media layers configured to exhibit a relatively high filtration efficiency and a low air pressure drop across the filter medium. A second portion of the filter medium is coupled to the first portion and maintains a uniform distribution of the pleats with the first portion.

摘要: A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds from a comingled gas, liquid, and/or solid stream is described. In one embodiment, the method is used to prepare the stream for feeding to an oxidizer, such as a thermal oxidizer, to reduce the amount of particulate matter discharged by the oxidizer and includes passing the stream through an ambient or chilled temperature condenser followed by an optional gas/solid separator, and one or more gas scrubbers prior to feeding to the oxidizer.

摘要: The present disclosure provides compositions, methods of use, and methods of creation for a population of transgenic plants derived from plant cells transformed with recombinant DNA for expression of heterologous proteins. In particular, the present disclosure provides compositions comprising indoor ornamental plants suited for the removal of volatile organic compounds such as formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and/or xylene from air. Also disclosed are transgenic seeds for growing a transgenic plant having the recombinant DNA in its genome and exhibiting enhanced VOC removal from air. Also disclosed are methods for generating seed and plants based on the transgenic events. Also disclosed are microbes selected for during directed evolution to have enhanced VOC removal from air capabilities. Also disclosed are methods and compositions for generating plant-microbiome pairings for enhanced VOC removal from air.

摘要: An air purification device includes a device main body, a purification filter and a gas detection module. The device main body includes a gas-inlet opening and a gas-outlet opening. The purification filter is disposed in the device main body and includes at least one activated carbon layer and at least one zeolite layer stacked on each other, wherein the activated carbon layer filters and absorbs suspended particles contained in an air introduced through the gas-inlet opening, and the zeolite layer includes porous structures with hydrophobic property for controlling and absorbing volatile organic compounds contained in the air introduced through the gas-inlet opening, thereby a purified gas is generated from the air and is discharged through the gas-outlet opening. The gas detection module is disposed in the device main body for detecting and obtaining a gas quality data of the air passing through the gas-inlet opening and outputting the gas quality data.
