    摘要: The present invention describes methods for absorbing a targeted chemical compound from a gas stream into a scrubbing solution for various uses and with various benefits. Methods are described to produce a gas stream that can be further processed with operational benefits, such as through condensing and wastewater treatment with a lower load on the wastewater treatment system. Methods are described for adsorbing the targeted compound with reduced condensation of water from the gas stream. Methods are described for producing a liquid stream comprising an absorbed form of the targeted compound for use as a saleable product, such as adsorbing ammonia for the production of a fertilizer, wherein the concentration of the absorbed form may be increased through reduced condensation from the gas stream. Methods are described for producing a lower volume liquid waste stream from the absorption process through the use of reduced condensation of the gas stream.

    摘要: Methods and apparatuses are described for contacting an oxidizing solution such as an aqueous hydrogen peroxide composition of hydrogen peroxide, at least one additive that catalyzes the decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide into hydroxyl radicals, and a biocide with an atmospheric effluent containing odorous and/or noxious components. These components are absorbed by the aqueous hydrogen peroxide composition to produce an atmospheric effluent having reduced amounts of the odorous and/or noxious components. Various methods are described for adding the hydrogen peroxide, the decomposition additive, and the biocide.

    摘要: Compositions of aluminum chlorohydrate and high molecular weight branched epichlorohydrin amine condensate polymers are applied to waste liquids, such as pulp and paper mill effluents having a lignin content, to reduce true color, The branched epichlorohydrin amine condensate polymer is branched using branching agents which result in a molecular weight greater than about 300,000 and permit solubility. When applied to waste liquids, the high molecular weight branched epichlorohydrin amine condensate polymer and aluminum chlorohydrate react with the lignin components in the waste liquid to form an insoluble agglomerate thus reducing the true color of the waste liquid. The resulting agglomerate, including the colored lignin, may be filtered from the waste liquid.
