摘要: An example water treatment system described herein includes a pre-filter system, an activated carbon filtration system including a filter media, a water sampling system having a water sample valve, a totalizing meter, and a piping system configured to couple the pre-filter system, the activated carbon filtration system, the water sampling system, and the totalizing meter in series. The activated carbon filtration system comprises a dual tank system having a first and second tank, each of the first and second tanks includes a filter media, the filter media being an activated carbon filter media. The water treatment system is configured such that water passing through the system maintains a minimum specified contact time with the activated carbon filter media.

摘要: A method of controlling a volatile fatty acid in an aqueous industrial system is provided in the present disclosure. The method includes determining a level of dissolved oxygen in process water in the aqueous industrial system and adding an effective amount of a control agent to the process water if the determined level of dissolved oxygen is above a predetermined level. The compositions and methods can lower the amount of VFA present in the aqueous industrial system.

摘要: An adsorption composition that includes a treatment agent including a material having an oxidized surface functionality and a carrier fluid are described. A method of preparing an adsorption composition including processing a material derived from at least one component of a date tree to provide a processed date tree material, treating the processed date tree material with a first treatment to produce a treated date tree material, reacting the treated date tree material with one or more oxidizing agents to form a treatment agent, and suspending the treatment agent in a carrier fluid is also described. Further, a method of adsorbing one or more compounds from a water-based fluid including introducing an adsorption composition to a water-based fluid containing one or more organic compounds contacting the adsorption composition with the one or more organic compounds and adsorbing the one or more organic compounds on the treatment agent is also described.

摘要: Disclosed are methods, apparatuses and systems for the remediation of contaminated soils, groundwater, water, and/or waste using a combination of reagents. The disclosed methods may be used to treat various recalcitrant halogenated substances, such as perfluoroalkyls and polyfluoroalkyls. Particular combinations of reagents that may be used in the disclosed methods include but are not limited to: (1) persulfate, oxygen and ozone; (2) persulfate, salt, oxygen and ozone; (3) persulfate, phosphate, and/or oxygen; (4) persulfate, phosphate, oxygen and ozone; (5) persulfate, phosphate, salt and oxygen (6) persulfate, phosphate, salt, oxygen and ozone; (7) oxygen and salt; and (8) air and salt. The disclosed methods may enhance destruction of organic contaminants in the liquid phase and may also control the rate of aerosol or foam formation relative to the rate of chemical oxidation and/or reduction/transfer.

摘要: Methods and systems for treating brine to produce distilled water and dried NaCl are disclosed. The brine enters a crystallization plant and is heated. Once heated, the brine is circulated to an evaporator. The evaporator increases the concentration of NaCl in the brine to a point about the super saturation level. Once above the super saturation level, NaCl crystals are formed. The larger crystals are circulated to a centrifuge for drying and the smaller crystals are recirculated through the evaporator for continued growth. The NaCl crystals are dried in the centrifuge.

摘要: The invention relates to methods and apparatuses for treating a condensate stream from a condenser that contains odorous compounds, such as various condensate streams produced in a rendering process. In one embodiment, the condensate stream is treated by adding an oxidizer to the liquid condensate stream to oxidize odor-causing compounds in the stream prior to being treated in a waste water pre-treatment system. In this manner, the odor resulting from these compounds can be reduced or eliminated.

摘要: The present invention discloses an advanced oxidation process of degrading nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in sewage by UV persulfate. The sewage flows to a secondary sedimentation tank by gravity, and sediments are precipitated and separated. Na2S2O8 solution is added therein, and a UV lamp is opened. Effluent result is analyzed after photooxidation. The sewage is transferred into a contact disinfection pool to react with ClO2 before discharging safely. The present invention uses a UV-based advanced oxidation process, which can effectively remove, the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs in sewage, meets the requirements of sewage discharging, and decreases the environmental risk of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The method has some advantages such as simple equipments, easy operation, reasonable economy, as well as efficient treatment effect and high stability.
