摘要: The invention relates to a method and a system for controlling a membrane separation unit of an aqueous liquid effluent treatment plant comprising a system for injecting at least one chemical compound into the effluent to be treated. The method and the system allow regulating at least one parameter selected from an amount of chemical compound(s) to be added and a conversion rate in order to avoid clogging and/or precipitation of ionic species in the retentate. This regulation uses optimum setpoint values determined according to one or more parameter(s) characteristic of the retentate and not of the water to be treated. Thus, an accurate regulation of the amount of chemical compound(s) to be added and/or of the conversion rate of the membrane separation unit at an optimum value allowing at the same time avoiding clogging and/or precipitation of the species likely to precipitate and minimising the operating costs is achieved.

摘要: The present application provides a switchable forward osmosis system, and processes thereof. In particular, this application provides a process for treating an aqueous feed stream, comprising: forward osmosis using an aqueous draw solution having a draw solute concentration of ≥20 wt %, the draw solute comprising ionized trimethylamine and a counter ion; wherein, the feed stream: (i) comprises ≥5 wt % total dissolved solids; (ii) is at a temperature of ≤20° C.; (iii) is at a temperature between ≥30° C.-≤60° C.; (iv) has an acidic pH or a basic pH; (v) comprises organic content; (vi) comprises suspended solids; (vii) or any combination of two or more of i)-v). Also provided herein are the related system and draw solution for performing the process, and various uses thereof for treating typically difficult to dewater feed streams.

摘要: Cations that can precipitate from an aqueous composition to produce scaling are sequestered by adding a multi-dentate ligand to the aqueous composition. The multi-dentate ligand bonds with the cation to form a non-scaling ionic complex; and the aqueous solution with the ionic complex is used in a process that produces substantially pure water from the aqueous composition, where the cation, absent formation of the ionic complex, is subject to scaling. The pH of the aqueous composition (or a brine including components of the aqueous composition) is then reduced to release the cation from the multi-dentate ligand; and the multi-dentate ligand, after the cation is released, is then reused in a predominantly closed loop.

摘要: Provided are a water treatment system and a water treatment process, which are capable of reproducing water containing salts with high water recovery. In the water treatment system (400) and the water treatment process of the present invention, after a calcium scale inhibitor and a silica scale inhibitor are supplied to water to be treated containing Ca ions, SO4 ions, carbonate ions, and silica, and the water to be treated is separated in a second demineralizing section (210) into second concentrated water in which the Ca ions, the SO4 ions, the carbonate ions, and the silica are concentrated and treated water. In a second crystallizing section (220), seed crystals of gypsum are supplied to the second concentrated water, whereby gypsum is crystallized and removed from the second concentrated water.

摘要: The present invention generally provides a process for treating a soapstock. The present invention more particularly provides systems and methods for treating a soapstock to generate free fatty acids and/or fatty acid derivatives, e.g. fatty acid alkyl esters. The present invention more particularly provides systems and methods for realizing the full fatty acid yield of a soapstock by first converting substantially all of the saponifiable material in a soapstock to salts of fatty acids (soaps) and acidulating the soaps to generate free fatty acids and/or fatty acid derivatives, e.g. fatty acid alkyl esters, wherein the soapstock comprises soaps and saponifiable lipids, e.g. glycerides and/or phospholipids, and the generating of free fatty acids and/or fatty acid is achieved without the use of a mineral acid.

摘要: A water treatment method according to the present invention is a water treatment method in which oil is membrane-separated from water to be treated containing the oil and ferrous ions, the water treatment method including an oxidation step of oxidizing the ferrous ions in the water to be treated, and a filtration step of membrane-filtering the water to be treated after the oxidation step. In the oxidation step, a pH of the water to be treated is adjusted to 6 to 9, and an oxidation-reduction potential of the water to be treated is adjusted to 450 to 750 mV.
