摘要: A pure water production apparatus that is economical and that can easily ensure good water quality of treated water is provided. Pure water production apparatus has: sulfur compound addition means for adding a sulfur compound containing a peroxide group to water to be treated that contains organic materials; ultraviolet ray radiation apparatus that irradiates with ultraviolet rays the water to be treated to which the sulfur compound was added; reverse osmosis membrane apparatus through which passes the water to be treated that was irradiated with the ultraviolet rays; and ion exchange resin-filled apparatus through which passes the water to be treated that was treated by reverse osmosis membrane apparatus.

The treatment tool sterilizer includes a sterilization tub configured to accommodate an object to be sterilized; a fresh water supply; an ozone water supply including a pressure pump configured to pressurize and transfer fresh water, an ozone generator, a mixer configured to mix fresh water and ozone, and a bubble generator connected to the mixer and configured to pass fresh water and ozone through the bubble generator so as to form micro bubbles; an ultrasonic generator; a drain; a heater mounted on the sterilization tub and configured to apply heat in the sterilization tub; and a controller configured to output a control signal.

摘要: There are provided methods for treating a gas having an undesirable odor. The methods comprise contacting the gas with an acidic aqueous oxidizing composition having a pH of about 2.0 to about 3.0 and comprising at least one cation of a metal; a sequestering agent; and H2O2 and submitting the gas and the composition to UV radiation when the gas and the composition are contacting each other, wherein the treatment permits to reduce by at least 60% intensity of the undesirable odor.

摘要: A wastewater treatment plant and related method comprise a treatment stage including a biological-process substage configured for growing unicellular organisms adapted to reduce contaminants in the wastewater which are dissolved, including at least one of organic matter and nitrogenous matter, by digestion thereof, and which are adapted to floc after digestion and a floc-removal substage downstream from the biological-process substage, relative to the flow of wastewater, and configured for substantially removing the unicellular organisms that have flocked. The treatment stage is configured to form majority and minority flows of treated wastewater, and the minority flow is configured to be recycled upstream of the biological-process treatment substage. The plant includes a heat transfer assembly configured for transferring heat from the majority flow of treated wastewater to the minority flow thereof to increase temperature of wastewater to be treated.

摘要: A system and method of desalinating a brine stream are provided. The multistage desalination process with carbon dioxide capture recovers valuable products where the reject brine is passed through seven stages. In each stage, a specific metal ion is recovered. In stage 1, a ˜100% recovery of magnesium ions as magnesium hydroxide solid was obtained by chemical reaction with ammonia solution. In stage 2, Na+ reduction, as sodium bicarbonate, and CO2 uptake was achieved. In stage 3, electrocoagulation (EC) was used to recover sulfate ions as pure calcium sulfate solid and to regenerate NH3 as ammonium hydroxide. In stage 4, CaO was added to the treated brine. In stage 5, more recovery of NaHCO3 was attained by adding ammonium bicarbonate, while in stage 6, the treated brine mixture was passed through another modified Solvay process. In stage 7, EC was again used to recover CaCl2 solution and NH3 compounds.

摘要: A sterilization system with multipurpose degasser has a vortex mixing cylinder, an endcap, and a deionization system. The vortex mixing cylinder is a container that has an inlet an outlet. The inlet and out enable an ozone-water mixture to flow into a mixing chamber within the vortex mixing cylinder. The mixing chamber is designed to facilitate the formation of an ozone saturated ozone-water mixture. The endcap is used to cover an opening of the mixing chamber and is used to expel gasses out of the mixing chamber. The deionization system is an electrical filter that removes ozone particles from the air within the mixing chamber. The deionization system is mounted in between the vortex mixing cylinder and the endcap. Accordingly, gasses must pass through the deionization system prior to being expelled through the endcap. The ozone particles are removed from the gasses being expelled through the endcap, prior to expulsion.

摘要: A method or process for treating wastewater containing high organics, silica, boron, hardness, and suspended and dissolved solids. The method includes degasifying the wastewater for the removal of dissolved gases and thereafter chemically softening the wastewater. After the chemical softening step, the wastewater is directed through a media filter or membrane which removes additional solids and precipitants. Thereafter the wastewater is directed through a sodium ion exchange that further softens the wastewater. The effluent from the ion exchange is directed through a cartridge filter and the effluent from the cartridge filter is directed through one or more reverse osmosis units. At a selected phase of the process, prior to the wastewater reaching the reverse osmosis unit or units, the pH of the wastewater is raised and maintained such that the pH of the wastewater reaching a reverse osmosis unit is at a pH greater than 10.5.
