(c) then passing a regeneration solution comprising dissolved ions (v) of the same species as ions (iv) through the bed of the collection of polymeric beads to exchange ions (v) for the undesired ions.-

摘要: The present invention includes water supply tank that stores water, water treatment container that communicates with water supply tank and in which water treatment material for treating water passing through water treatment material is sealed, and water supply pump serving as a water supply device that communicates with water treatment container and sucks up water in water supply tank via water treatment container. Water treatment container is detachably connected to outside of water supply tank. According to this configuration, water treatment container is not always immersed in water in water supply tank, and thus upon replacement of water treatment container, water treatment container can be easily replaced without dripping water and wetting the surrounding area. In addition, mold, bacteria, and the like hardly propagate on an outer side of water treatment container and water treatment container can be kept sanitary.

摘要: Embodiments of the present invention feature devices and methods for administering medicaments to subjects and, in particular, molecular iodine to animals in drinking water for the treatment of oral bad breath and disease. An exemplary device comprises a source of medicament in a fluid, measuring means, an administration switch and a water reservoir means. The measuring means is in fluid communication with said source of medicament for measuring an aliquot of medicament corresponding to a dose for the treatment of a disease. The measuring means is also in communication with a water reservoir means and releases the aliquot into the water reservoir means upon signal activation. The administration switch means is in signal communication with the measuring means and upon activation by a subject produces an activation signal received by the measuring means. The water reservoir means is for receiving the aliquot and forming an aqueous solution of medicament.

摘要: A method of remediating a water-based fluid includes the steps of providing a container providing a fluid cavity and organic, inorganic and biological remediation media within the cavity. The container is tubular and provides a linear flow direction, organic, inorganic and biological remediation media arranged in the cavity and configured to permit a water-based fluid within the cavity to simultaneously flow through the media. The organic, the inorganic and the biological remediation media are respectively configured to remove organic, inorganic and microbiological constituents. The organic, inorganic and biological remediation media are arranged within the cavity along the linear flow direction. Multiple cartridges are arranged within the cavity and spaced apart from one another. A predetermined flow rate of the water-based fluid through the cavity is set and it concurrently removes organic, inorganic and iodine-based biocide contaminants from the fluid within the cavity.

摘要: A seawater desalination unit is disclosed, which comprises: a frame, an exit filtration part, and a water drawing part. The frame is configured with a reservoir, a water intake pipe and a water discharge pipe in a manner that the water intake pipe is connected to the reservoir respectively via one end thereof, while allowing a first check valve to be disposed at a position between the reservoir and the water intake pipe, and the water discharge pipe is connected to the second filtration part and the reservoir respectively via two opposite ends thereof, while allowing a second check valve to be disposed at a position between the high-pressure reservoir and the water discharge pipe. Moreover, the water drawing part is arranged in fluid communication with the water intake pipe.

摘要: Systems, devices, and methods of filtering water utilize an integrated gravity-fed, dual ion-exchange filtration bottle. Flow-through multi-stage filtration technology is applied to a personal water bottle. The system filters water from an upper unfiltered water reservoir through a multi-stage filter to a lower filtered water reservoir. A user then drinks from the lower reservoir. The bottle includes a cap with a filtered water outlet through which filtered water in the lower reservoir is accessed with a straw, spout, or other access device. The cap includes an unfiltered water inlet to allow filling and refilling of the upper reservoir without disassembling the bottle. The bottle includes a filter vent that eliminates air locks and partial vacuum that can develop when unfiltered water drains from the upper reservoir through the filter to the lower reservoir. This gravity-fed dual ion-exchange filtration system allows for more complete removal of dissolved solids.

摘要: Provided are filtration media and matrixes comprising a pulverized powder of ion exchange resin and a polymeric binder. The resin can be pulverized to an average particle size in the range of 50 to 250 microns and can comprise a cation exchange resin, an anion exchange resin, a chelating resin, a biologically-related ion exchange resin, or combinations thereof. The media can further comprise activated carbon. The binder can be ultra high molecular weight polyethylene. The filtration media can be used to make matrixes and systems. Methods of making and using the same are also provided.
