摘要: At least some embodiments of the present disclosure an electrostatic sheet jamming device comprising a first sheet having a first conductive layer, a first dielectric layer disposed adjacent to the first conductive layer, and a second sheet comprising a second conductive layer and disposed proximate to the first dielectric layer. The first dielectric layer is disposed between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. The first sheet and the second sheet are non-extensible and flexible, wherein the first sheet and the second sheet are slidable relative to each other in a first state. The first sheet and the second sheet are jammed with each other in a second state when a voltage is applied between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer. In some embodiments, the applied voltage is less than or equal to a break-down voltage of air at a distance between the first conductive layer and the second conductive layer.

摘要: An electrically conductive bonding tape includes a conductive self-supporting first layer conductive in each of three mutually orthogonal directions and including conductive opposing first and second major surfaces, an conductive second layer coated on the first major surface of the self-supporting first layer and having at least 60% by weight of nickel, the second layer having an exposed major surface facing away from the first major surface of the self-supporting first layer and exposing at least some of the nickel in the second layer, and a conductive adhesive third layer bonded to the second major surface of the self-supporting first layer opposite the second layer. The adhesive third layer is conductive in at least one of the three mutually orthogonal directions and includes a plurality of conductive elements dispersed in an insulative material, at least some of the conductive elements physically contacting the self-supporting first layer.

摘要: The present disclosure provides abrasive articles that include an abrasive layer having a contact surface, a first layer coupled to the abrasive layer, and a second layer coupled to the first layer. The first layer is configured to provide contact pressure to the abrasive layer, such as through a higher hardness than the second layer. The second layer is configured to provide conformability to the abrasive layer, such as through a higher compressibility than the first layer. The resulting abrasive articles may exert a consistent contact pressure against a substrate with increased conformability around the substrate, reduced hysteresis, improved removal rate consistency, and/or improved lifetime over abrasive articles that do not use the multiple layer construction described above.

The preceramic matrix contains an inorganic portion and a binder system. Binder systems comprising a binder and a plasticizer for the binder are described.

摘要: A method for displaying teeth after planned orthodontic treatment in order to show persons how their smiles will look after the treatment. The method includes receiving a digital 3D model of teeth or rendered images of teeth, and an image of a person such as a digital photo. The method uses a generator network to produce a generated image of the person showing teeth of the person, the person's smile, after the planned orthodontic treatment. The method uses a discriminator network processing input images, generated images, and real images to train the generator network through deep learning models to product a photo-realistic image of the person after the planned treatment.

摘要: Low dielectric constant curable compositions include a first alkyl (meth)acrylate monomer with 12 or more carbon atoms, a crosslinking monomer, a copolymeric additive of a polyisobutylene-polysiloxane block copolymer, and at least one initiator. The curable composition is solvent free and inkjet printable. Upon curing the curable composition forms a non-crystalline, optically clear layer with a dielectric constant of less than or equal to 3.0 at 1 MegaHertz.

A display device according to one scheme of the present disclosure comprises: a display portion emitting a visible light of a linearly polarized wave having display information; an infrared light cut-off portion transmitting the visible light from the display portion and reducing an incident amount of an infrared light to the display portion; and a reflecting portion reflecting the visible light transmitted from the infrared light cut-off portion, wherein the infrared light cut-off portion comprises an infrared light cut-off layer, the infrared light cut-off layer has a slow axis, and the slow axis is generally parallel to a vibration direction of the linearly polarized wave.
