摘要: Processes for removing heat stable amine salts from a contaminated aqueous amine solution are proposed comprising passing a feedstream of the contaminated aqueous amine solution in an electrodialysis zone comprising at least one repeat unit with an amine solution compartment for receiving the feedstream, a waste compartment, and an anion source compartment receiving an anion source stream or a bi-polar membrane disposed for providing anions balancing the heat stable anions. Monitoring of an anion source-related parameter being correlated to the anion source concentration of the anion-depleted source stream, or of a waste parameter being correlated to an acid concentration of the waste stream, is performed to further adjust an addition of the anion source or a removal of the waste stream in accordance with the monitored parameter.

摘要: An ultra-pure water manufacturing method using catalyst particles includes preparing first treated water by treating urea-containing feed water with urease-immobilized catalyst particles, and removing ionic substances from the first treated water by reverse osmosis, wherein the catalyst particles on which urease is immobilized are prepared by inducing a surface of the support to have an organic functional group thereon by modifying the surface of the support, coating a linker on the surface of the support, and immobilizing urease on the support in a buffer solution having a pH in a range of about 6 to about 8.

摘要: A carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) nanohybrid composition comprising carboxymethyl cellulose loaded with metal nanoparticles, such as silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), iron nanoparticles (FeNPs), or silver nanoparticle-doped iron nanoparticles (AgNPs@FeNPs). These compositions can be used to remove contaminants, such as 2,4-dinitrophenol, from wastewater. The compositions are low-cost, eco-friendly, and highly efficient for 2,4-dinitrophenol removal, due to the high surface area to volume ratio and super catalytic effect to remove 2,4-dinitrophenol. The results indicate that the performance of fabricated AgNPs@Fe@CMC nanohybrids objectively is relatively high, and suitable compared to commercial materials.

摘要: Aspects of the invention include a porous and water-permeable electrode for electrocatalysis comprising: a porous and water-permeable reactive electrochemical membrane (“REM”) comprising: a porous and water-permeable support membrane; wherein the support membrane comprises a titanium metal; and an electrocatalytic coating on at least a portion of the metal support membrane, the electrocatalytic coating being a tin oxide bilayer comprising: a first layer adjacent to and directly contacting the metal support membrane; wherein the first layer comprises tin oxide doped with antimony; and a second layer adjacent to and directly contacting the first layer; wherein the second layer forms a surface of the REM such that the second layer is in direct contact with an aqueous solution when the REM is in contact with the aqueous solution; wherein the second layer comprises tin oxide doped with antimony and nickel or cerium. Preferably, the support membrane is formed of a titanium metal.

A filter cartridge assembly is disposed within the housing assembly and is in fluid communication with the adapter base and the bubbler head assembly.
