摘要: A system includes a frame, a spot-free water generator, a booster pump, a tank, a first pressure washer, and a first on-demand pump. The frame is configured to be received within and coupled to a portion of an interior of a vehicle. The spot-free water generator includes a carbon filter, a pre-filter, and a plurality of membranes and is configured to generate spot-free rinse water from tap water. The booster pump receives tap water from an exterior water inlet port and delivers the tap water to the spot-free water generator at a predetermined pressure. The tank is coupled to the frame and receives and stores at least a portion of the spot-free rinse water generated by the spot-free water generator. The first on-demand pump is coupled to the frame and is configured to deliver spot-free rinse water from the tank to the first pressure washer.

摘要: A water restoration system is presented. The system includes a filtration chamber disposed proximate to or within a water basin, such as a watershed basin, to continuously filter contaminants from the water basin without relying on a rain event. The filtration chamber includes a reaction chamber and an aeration and mixing chamber, such that the water removed from the basin interacts with filtration media within the reaction chamber, and such that the filtration media mixes with the water (while the water is aerated) within the aeration and mixing chamber. As a result, water from the basin is continuously filtered through the water restoration system to reduce the concentration of contaminants, such as phosphorus and nitrogen, from the water basin.

摘要: Carbonaceous material that is activated to form precursor activated carbon is further enhanced by doping with copper, iron, and nitrogen and calcining. The carbonaceous material includes those obtained from coal, wood, or coconut shells. Methods of doping the activated carbon are described. The described treatment processes result in a sorbent material that has excellent performance in removing chloramine and similar compounds from fluids such as water that is intended for drinking.

摘要: An autonomous water treatment system can include a vessel comprising one or more thrusters, a base, and a dome. The base and the dome can form a housing when attached to each other, and the thrusters can be configured to rotate to steer the vessel. The treatment system can include solar panels mounted on an exterior surface of the dome, and batteries disposed inside the housing. The batteries can be recharged by energy generated by the solar panels. The treatment system can include a gas infusion system disposed inside in the housing. The gas infusion system can be configured to receive a flow of water from a body of water, infuse said flow of water with oxygen, remove dissolved nitrogen from said flow of water, and return the oxygen infused water to the body of water under pressure to propel the vessel along the body of water.

摘要: A method of removing organic carbon and other contaminants from a water stream. The method comprises screening large solids from the stream. Pre-oxidation chemicals may then be added. A coagulant is fed into the stream. An activated carbon, preferably formed from lignite, is added by pumping a highly concentrated activated carbon slurry into the stream. The stream, including the activated carbon and coagulant, next flows into a clarifier, where the coagulant will flocculate and enmesh the activated carbon. The activated carbon adsorbs organic carbon and other contaminants, including bacteria, pharmacological agents, and hydrocarbons, as the stream flows through the clarifier. Eventually, the flocculate will agglomerate and settle out in the clarifier, where it, the enmeshed carbon, and the contaminants they contain may be removed. The stream's organic carbon content exiting the clarifier will be much reduced. Accordingly, less primary oxidizing agent will be needed to treat any remaining organic carbon.

摘要: In a method for treating waste water containing ammonium salts, sodium sulfate crystal is obtained by freezing crystallization, then the pH value of the waste water is adjusted to a specific range, and next sodium chloride crystal and ammonia water is obtained by evaporation. Alternatively, the pH value of the waste water is adjusted to a specific range, then sodium chloride crystal and ammonia water is obtained by evaporation, and next sodium sulfate crystal is obtained by freezing crystallization. This method can recover ammonia, sodium sulfate, and sodium chloride from the waste water.

摘要: Described herein are heterogeneous catalysts for removing impurities, such as halogen oxyanions (e.g., ClO4− and ClO3−), from a fluid, the catalyst can comprise: an oxygen atom transfer (OAT) transition metal, a Group VIII metal, and a support, where the transition metal, and the Group VIII metal can be in physical communication with the support either directly or indirectly through each other, whereby the catalyst can chemically remove impurities from the fluid. Certain embodiments provide catalysts that further comprise nitrogen donor ligand(s). Accordingly, such catalysts that comprise the OAT transition metal in the form of a complex with one or more nitrogen donor ligands have enhanced efficiency in reducing halogen oxyanion (e.g., ClO4−) to Cl−. Also described are methods or kits for making the catalysts and methods or reactor for the treatment of a fluid utilizing the catalyst.

摘要: Disclosed is a filter for a water-purification device, the filter including a filter housing having a water inlet and a water outlet defined therein; and a filter member disposed in the filter housing to purify water introduced through the inlet and supply the purified water to the outlet, wherein the filter member includes a carbon block produced by mixing 40 to 50% by weight of titanium oxide, 30 to 40% by weight of activated carbon, and 18 to 23% by weight of binder with each other. Further, a water-purification device including the filter is disclosed.
