Abstract: Mechano-chemical wastewater treatment equipment to treat wastewater containing heavy metals to form drainage. An intermediate sewage tank has a sewage inlet and a sewage outlet, and stores wastewater to be treated and sewage formed during the treatment process. At least one mechano-chemical reactor conducts the mechano-chemical reaction between the wastewater and zero-valent iron nanoparticles through a ball milling treatment. A separator to separate a slurry produced by the reactor into solids and liquids. The separator has a slurry inlet, a liquid outlet, and a sludge outlet. The reactor is a ball milling device having a reactor shell with a reaction chamber internally formed, a feeding inlet for the slurry to enter the reaction chamber and a discharge outlet for the slurry to flow out of the reaction chamber. A rotor is set inside the reaction chamber and a driving mechanism rotates the rotor.

Abstract: A water treatment and purification process for the removal of contaminants from water, which uses a resin polymeric resin based on allylbenzene (3-phenylpropene) with divinylbenzene, which has been previously activated, which carries out an ion exchange and adsorption of the contaminants present in the water to be treated. The molecular modification process for the treatment and purification of water allows purifying water with high concentrations of both organic and inorganic contaminants, does not clog or scale, removes the contaminants from the water, does not generate any type of rejection or waste, does not generate sludge, and operates with low energy consumption.

Abstract: Various examples are provided in relation to improved recovery and throughput of both fine and coarse particulate materials. In one example, a method includes injecting an aqueous suspension of a cloud of small air bubbles into an aqueous phase including fine particulate materials, wherein the fine particulate material is selectively hydrophobized and collected by small air bubbles; allowing the bubbles to rise in the aqueous phase; and collecting the air bubbles to obtain a concentrate of the fine particulate materials. In another example, a method includes adding a hydrophobizing agent to an aqueous phase to render coarse particulate material selectively hydrophobic; allowing air bubbles to attach to the coarse particulate material and changing the apparent specific gravity of the coarse particulate materials so a layer of one type of coarse particle is formed on top; allowing the one type of coarse particles to float and enter the forth phase.

Abstract: Systems and methods to enhance the removal of inorganic contaminants, including metals, from hydrocarbon feedstocks at a refinery. One or more embodiments of such systems and methods may be used to provide a renewable hydrocarbon feedstock having a reduced amount of metal contaminants. The reduction of metal contaminants in the renewable hydrocarbon feedstock mitigates catalyst fouling and/or deactivation during downstream refinery processing of the renewable hydrocarbon feedstock.
