The first filtration assembly (360) has a first filtration inlet (364) configured to receive air from the storage chamber, a first filtration outlet (366) configured to release air into the outside environment (10), and first filter media (368) between the first filtration inlet (364) and the first filtration outlet (366).

Abstract: The invention is directed to a passive dust filtering system for an inspection hatch of steel bulk storage vessel. The system includes a filter containment unit and an adaptor section for securing the unit to the storage vessel. The adaptor section includes a mounting flange having one or more magnetic switches to engage the storage vessel. A purge control system is used to periodically pulse air into filter elements in the filter containment unit to blow dust from the outside of the filter elements back into the vessel.

Abstract: A method for producing asphalt using a high percentage of RAP (recycled asphalt pavement) in the total aggregate raw material. A counterflow rotary drum dryer is used to dry the raw material. The extent of the burner flame in the dryer is limited such that the RAP does not come into direct contact with the flame. The hot gases leaving the dryer pass to a wet scrubber.

Wet or dry embodiments of the pollutant capturer and mobilizer utilize wet or dry pollutant capturing components, respectively, to capture one or multiple types of polluting substances from a body of polluted gaseous substance. Flow-establishing devices can be used to set the body of polluted gaseous substance in motion through the pollutant capturing component. The pollutant capturer and mobilizer may also be mounted on any type of vehicle, with or without using flow-establishing devices.

Abstract: An air breathing filtering system includes a housing having an air input and an air output, a first filtering stage that filters out particles from a first air stream to generate a second air stream, and a second filtering stage that filters out germs from the second air stream to generate a third air stream, wherein the second filtering stage uses a different filtering process than the first filtering stage. The first air stream is received at the air input and the third air stream is discharged outside the housing at the air output. The second filtering stage uses a liquid to disable the germs from the second air stream.
