Abstract: A system, method, and apparatus for ameliorating deposits in selective catalytic reduction systems for the reduction of nitrogen oxide emissions in steam methane reformers. The system includes positioning a dual stage refractory particulate (RP) filter placed in an upstream airflow from a Selective Catalytic Reduction System (SCRS). The first stage is formed of a perforated steel plate with a second stage formed of a wire mesh screen. The system may employ air cannons to clean each of the first stage and the second stages.

Abstract: A filter element includes a media pack and a gasket member. The gasket member includes first and second gasket regions separated by a channel. The elements are usable in a dust collector having a dirty air inlet, a clean air outlet, and a tubesheet dividing between an unfiltered and a clean air volume. An element is removably mounted and sealed within the tube sheet. At least one projection angled relative to a plane of the tube sheet extends into the channel of the gasket member. A method of servicing a dust collector includes removing a first filter element from the tube sheet in the housing, and then sealing a second filter element against the tube sheet by orienting at least one projection extending from a plane of the tube sheet into a channel defined by a gasket member secured to the second filter element. An axial force is exerted to form a seal between the gasket member and the tube sheet.

Abstract: The invention relates to a filter arrangement comprising a filter cartridge, having an opening and a wall which is formed by a filter medium and has an inner side delimiting a clean side of the filter and an outer side delimiting a raw side of the filter, a fan for conveying air to be purified first through the wall and subsequently through the opening of the filter cartridge, and a purification device, which is configured to convey a jet of compressed air through the opening into the filter cartridge and through the wall out of the filter cartridge, for conveying dirt away from an outer wall of the wall. The invention also relates to a method for detecting a leak of a filter cartridge, wherein the filter cartridge has an opening and a wall which is formed by a filter medium and has an inner side delimiting a clean side of the filter and an outer side delimiting a raw side of the filter.

Abstract: A filter system includes a tube sheet defining a plurality of holes in fluid communication with a plurality of filter bags. The system also includes a rotating assembly having an arm defining one or more outlets to provide pressurized air from an air source toward the tube sheet in response to pulsing one or more actuators. A motor is operably coupled to the stationary assembly and the rotating assembly to rotate the arm about an axis at a preset rotational speed. A controller is operably coupled to the motor and the one or more actuators to provide pulse commands based on a pulse interval and a jog interval. The pulse interval and the jog interval may be determined based on a measured rotational speed of the arm, which may be redetermined during operation.

Abstract: The air filter cleaning device provides a tool for efficiently cleaning an air filter. the air filter cleaning device includes an elongated coil extending between a first end and a second end. The coil includes a surface that defines a hollow interior extending between first end and second end such that the coil is configured to be tubular. the elongated straight portion is connected with the actuator via the swivel joint. The coil is placed into the cavity of the air filter. The actuator is actuated, thereby causing air to enter the first end, flow through the interior and exit the opening. The pressure of the air exiting the opening causes the coil to rotate relative to the air filter. As the coil rotates, the pressure of the air pushes dust and/or debris from the porous material of the air filter.

Abstract: A pulse ring assembly for air cleaner systems that is adapted to produce a pulse ring of gas to clean a filter element. The air cleaner system may include an outer tube and an inner tube configured to receive the inner tube such that at least a portion of an interior surface of the outer tube faces at least a portion of an exterior surface of the inner tube. The outer tube may include a pulse port extending between the interior and exterior surfaces of the outer tube into an outer tube passageway. Filtered air may be configured to flow from a first filter cartridge, through the outer and inner tubes, and to an engine intake. The system may also include a pulse jet apparatus in fluid communication with the pulse port of the outer tube and configured to direct gas through the pulse port towards the first filter cartridge.
