摘要: An internal combustion engine, with an engine regulating device and an exhaust gas aftertreatment device with an SCR catalytic converter for the reduction of at least one NOx component, and with a catalytic converter regulating device, wherein the engine regulating device is prescribed a target value for an NOx mean value of the NOx component of the exhaust gases, which mean value results at an outlet point of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device in relation to a predefinable time period, and the engine regulating device is configured at least in one operating mode to continuously calculate an NOx reference value for the catalytic converter regulating device with consideration of Nox components which have already been emitted and the predefined target value, which reference value is selected in such a way that the predefined target value results at the outlet point of the exhaust gas aftertreatment device at the end of the predefinable time period when the calculated NOx reference value of the catalytic converter regulating device is fed as NOx setpoint value to the regulating means.

摘要: A control device is applied to an internal combustion engine equipped with an electric heating catalyst system provided with an EHC. The control device executes a preheating process to warm up an exhaust gas reduction catalyst prior to a start of the internal combustion engine by supplying electric power to the EHC, when the control device determines that a temperature of the exhaust gas reduction catalyst is lower than an activation temperature. The control device executes a determination process for determining whether water is adhered to a catalyst carrier. The control device starts the internal combustion engine without executing the preheating process when the control device determines by the determination process that water is adhered to the catalyst carrier, even when the control device determines that the temperature of the exhaust gas reduction catalyst is lower than the activation temperature.

摘要: A mobile emissions control system having an emission capturing system and emission control system is provided for diesel engines operated on ocean-going ships at-berth. The emissions control system may be mounted on a towable chassis or mounted on a barge, allowing it to be placed alongside ocean-going ships at-berth. A crane or boom transfers a duct of the emissions capturing system extending from the emissions control system to the ship to capture exhaust from its engine. Alternatively, the system may be mounted on an automated guided vehicle (AGV) equipped with a tower and a crane. The crane mounted on the AGV then lifts the duct forming part of the emissions capture system to the ship's exhaust system to capture exhaust from the ship's diesel engine and transfers it to the emissions control system, which cleans the exhaust and then passes clean air into the atmosphere through an exhaust outlet.

摘要: An aftertreatment system for an internal combustion engine includes a diesel cold start catalyst member, a lean NOx trap (LNT) member arranged directly adjacent to and downstream of the diesel cold start catalyst, and a selective catalyst reduction (SCR) member arranged downstream of the LNT. The diesel cold start catalyst is operable to reduce NOx emissions at operating temperatures below 200° C. and the LNT and SCR system are operable to reduce NOx emissions at operating temperatures above 200° C.

摘要: An exhaust system for a diesel engine is disclosed. The exhaust system may include a diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) configured to receive exhaust gases from the engine and oxidize hydrocarbons in the exhaust gases and a passive NOx adsorber (PNA) downstream from the DOC and configured to store NOx from the exhaust gases at temperatures up to 150° C. A selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system may be downstream from the PNA and configured to reduce NOx in the exhaust gases. The PNA may be configured to release the stored NOx at temperatures above 200° C. The DOC upstream of the PNA may reduce the amount of N2O that is generated by the PNA by oxidizing hydrocarbons before they reach the PNA.

摘要: When a catalyst temperature of a catalyst device is at or below a lower limit air-fuel ratio richness control is prohibited. When a first timing, where an estimated value of a NOx storage amount has reached an enrichment start threshold value, and a second timing, based on a set interval time in an enrichment interval time map, are both satisfied, the control is started. The second timing is corrected by multiplying the set interval time by an enrichment interval correction coefficient preset based on the catalyst temperature and a storage ratio of the estimated value of the NOx storage amount to an enrichment start threshold value of the NOx storage amount. The frequency of the air-fuel ratio richness control of a catalyst device configured to recover a purification capacity of a catalyst is reduced, and the catalyst temperature is raised while preventing white smoke development and hydrocarbon slip, to thereby achieve improvement in exhaust gas composition and improvement in fuel efficiency.
