The mixer has a venturi tube shape in which a cross-sectional area of a flow path decreases and expands in a flow direction of the air that has passed through the supercharger, and the gas supply pipe is connected to a portion of the mixer where the cross-sectional area of the flow path in the mixer is decreased.

摘要: A blow-by gas processing device includes a blow-by gas pipe through which blow-by gas flows. A peripheral wall of the blow-by gas pipe is provided with a plurality of communication holes arranged in an extending direction of the blow-by gas pipe. A farthest communication hole, which is a communication hole located farthest from a base end of the blow-by gas pipe in the extending direction among the plurality of communication holes, is provided in a distal end portion of the blow-by gas pipe. A guide wall portion is provided in a part of the peripheral wall, which is located on the opposite side of a central axis of the blow-by gas pipe from a position of the farthest communication hole. The guide wall portion approaches the blow-by gas introduced portion as the guide wall portion extends toward a distal end of the blow-by gas pipe in the extending direction.

摘要: An air intake apparatus of a multi-cylinder engine includes an intake air inlet passage, an intake air distribution portion, a plurality of independent intake air passages, and a secondary gas inlet passage. The intake air inlet passage has one end portion attached to a throttle valve, and the other end connected to an intake air distribution portion. The intake air distribution portion has a space therein. The secondary gas inlet passage is connected at a part spaced apart, in the intake air inlet passage, from the throttle valve. The intake air distribution portion has a reflux passage which is a passage that connects the space and a part between the one end portion and the other end in the intake air inlet passage. The reflux passage is a passage which refluxes fresh air and secondary gas introduced from the intake air inlet passage to the intake air inlet passage.

摘要: An exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) flow correction system and method are disclosed for an engine air system with air and EGR inputs to a mixer. The system includes three temperature sensors to measure temperatures of the air input, EGR input, and mixer output; and an air system model computing EGR flow corrections using the three temperatures. Air system can include intake manifold, charge air cooler (CAC), air throttle, EGR cooler and EGR valve, with first sensor between CAC and air throttle, second sensor between EGR cooler and EGR valve, third sensor in intake manifold. Air system model can estimate mass flows through air and EGR inputs, estimate intake manifold temperature at third sensor, estimate intake manifold temperature error, and compute EGR corrections based on temperature error. Air system model can estimate CAC and EGR cooler outlet temperatures, and mixer input temperature.

摘要: In an EGR system that introduces an EGR gas to a vicinity of an inlet of a compressor in an intake passage, prevention of erosion of an impeller by condensed water generated in an EGR passage, and restraint of pressure loss of intake air are made compatible. An introduction port for an EGR gas formed in a wall surface of the intake passage in a vicinity of the inlet of the compressor and an exhaust passage are connected by the EGR passage. The EGR passage is provided with an EGR valve, and an exhaust throttle valve is provided downstream of a position where the EGR passage is connected in the exhaust passage. By a control device that controls the EGR valve and the exhaust throttle valve, respective opening degrees of the EGR valve and the exhaust throttle valve are controlled in accordance with a flow rate of fresh air that flows to the compressor, and a velocity of the EGR gas that flows out into the intake passage from the introduction port for the EGR gas is changed so that the EGR gas flows toward a center portion of the impeller of the compressor.
