摘要: A gas-liquid separator comprises a housing comprising a first inlet structured to receive a blowby gas stream, the blowby gas stream having a first flow velocity, and a second inlet structured to a communicate a compressed gas into the housing, at least a portion of the second inlet disposed within the first inlet. An elastomeric nozzle is coupled to the first inlet and positioned around the second inlet, the elastomeric nozzle structured to combine the blowby gas stream with the compressed gas such that the compressed gas causes the blowby gas stream to flow at a second flow velocity that is greater than the first flow velocity. An impaction plate is disposed downstream of the elastomeric nozzle such that the blowby gas stream impacts the impaction plate and separates liquid and aerosol contained in the blowby gas stream.

The head cover 4 has a heat conducting portion 700 which is in contact with the partition wall part 200 and conducts the heat generated by the heating means 600 to the separating portion 330.

摘要: The disclosure relates to a method and a device for checking the functionality of a crankcase ventilation system of an internal combustion engine. The crankcase ventilation system includes two crankcase ventilation lines arranged between a crankcase outlet of a crankcase and an associated introduction point into an air path of the internal combustion engine, via which crankcase ventilation lines gas can be introduced from the crankcase into the air path. The method includes measuring a pressure in the crankcase, supplying the measured pressure values to a control unit, and calculating the gradient of the measured pressure. The method also includes performing a gradient check, checking whether the gradient satisfies a specified criterion, and returning to the measurement of the pressure if the gradient satisfies the specified criterion. The method also includes recording an entry in a fault memory if the gradient does not satisfy the specified criterion.

摘要: A blowby gas treatment device includes a pressure control valve, a fresh air induction pipe, a first blowby gas pipe, a second blowby gas pipe, a shutoff valve, a one-way valve, and a PCV valve. A leak diagnosis includes a first-stage diagnosis to determine whether or not falling of a pressure in a crank case after closing of the shutoff valve under a non-supercharging condition is normal. A second-stage diagnosis is implemented by using an air fuel ratio feedback control, and determining whether or not a sensed intake air quantity obtained by an air flow meter is equal to an actual intake air quantity flowing into a cylinder set. When the sensed intake air quantity is equal to the actual intake air quantity, presence of an in-system leak is determined, and when the actual intake air quantity is larger, presence of an out-of-system leak is determined.

Separate from the blow-by gas and the coalescing filter, the oil separating apparatus is in fluid communication with the liquid source to receive the liquid. The liquid is passed through the oil separating apparatus in a heat exchange relationship with the blow-by gas to maintain a desired temperature range for the blow-by gas.

摘要: An engine includes: an exhaust manifold 7 close to one of left and right side surfaces of an engine; a turbocharger 60 having an exhaust-side inlet connected to the exhaust manifold 7; and a rocker-arm-chamber-integrated intake manifold 8 being disposed on an upper surface of a cylinder head 5 and integrally including a rocker arm chamber 90 and an intake manifold 6. The intake manifold 8 has a wall 101 dividing the rocker arm chamber 90 close to the one of the left and right side surfaces of the engine 1 and the intake manifold 6 close to the other of the left and right side surfaces to isolate the rocker arm chamber 90 and the intake manifold 6 from each other. The rocker arm chamber 90 has, in its upper portion, a positive crankcase ventilation device 69 protruding therefrom and being configured to return blowby gas to an intake system. The positive crankcase ventilation device 69 has, in its side surface, a blowby-gas discharge port 67 connected with a gas conduit 68 through which blowby gas is delivered to an intake-side inlet of the turbocharger 60.

摘要: A blow-by gas leak diagnostic device includes a first PCV flow path, a second PCV flow path, a fresh air inlet, a pressure measurement unit, a first valve that opens and closes the first PCV flow path, a second valve that opens and closes the second PCV flow path, a third valve that opens and closes the fresh air inlet, a valve control unit, and a leak diagnosis unit. The valve control unit controls an opening degree of the third valve when a downstream side of an intake manifold with respect to a throttle valve has a negative pressure, and the second valve is in a closed state. The leak diagnosis unit diagnoses presence or absence of a leak in the first PCV flow path on the basis of an inner pressure of the first PCV flow path measured by the pressure measurement unit.
