摘要: One embodiment of a method for operating an internal combustion engine under a pressure less than atmospheric pressure includes the steps of positioning a vacuum pump such that said vacuum pump is in fluid communication with a crankcase of said internal combustion engine, connecting a discharge of said vacuum pump to a separator, wherein a portion of said discharge of said vacuum pump condenses in said separator, connecting a vapor discharge of said separator to a filter, wherein said filter removes a portion of volatile organic compounds from said vapor discharge, and venting said filter to an ambient atmosphere.

摘要: A method for diagnosing a crankcase system of an internal combustion engine. A pressure value is captured in a crankcase system. A pressure value of a reference pressure is ascertained or a pressure value to be expected in the crankcase system is modeled. A gradient of the pressure value in the crankcase system and a gradient of the reference pressure or the modeled pressure in the crankcase system is formed. The two formed gradients are integrated over time. The function of the crankcase system is evaluated based on the values obtained by the integrations. A control device as well as an internal combustion engine for carrying out the method are provided.

An ejector pump may be driven via a compressed air flow of the supercharging apparatus and may be configured to generate an underpressure for driving a blow-by gas. The crankcase ventilation apparatus may include a pump control valve configured to at least one of regulate and control the compressed air flow through the ejector pump.

摘要: A system includes at least one coalescer, a blow-by input module, and a boost air module. The at least one coalescer is configured to receive a blow-by mixture, to remove oil from the blow-by mixture to provide an oil drain supply, and to remove gas from the blow-by mixture to provide a gas vent supply. The coalescer is configured to receive an operational air supply. The blow-by input module is operably coupled to the at least one coalescer and configured to receive the blow-by mixture from a crankcase of an internal combustion engine and provide the blow-by mixture to the at least one coalescer. The boost air module is operably coupled to the at least one coalescer and configured to receive an air supply from an intake conduit of the internal combustion engine and to provide the air supply as the operational air supply to the at least one coalescer.

摘要: A turbocharged engine air system is disclosed. The system includes a vacuum consuming device, a turbocharger having a compressor fluidly connected to an intake manifold of an engine, a first check valve located upstream of the compressor, a second check valve located downstream of the compressor and upstream of the intake manifold, and an evacuator. The evacuator includes a converging motive section, a diverging discharge section, at least one suction port, and a Venturi gap located between an outlet end of the converging motive section and an inlet end of the diverging discharge section. The diverging discharge section of the evacuator is fluidly connected to both the first check valve and the second check valve. The suction port is fluidly connected to the vacuum consuming device.

摘要: A combination of a vaporized fuel treating device and a blow-by gas returning device for an engine having a forced induction device may include an ejector. The ejector is disposed in a bypass passage that is in communication with an intake conduit at portions positioned upstream and downstream of the forced induction device. The ejector is configured to receive a boost gas generated by the forced induction device and to generate negative pressures therein, so as to supply the generated negative pressures to a purge conduit of the vaporized fuel treating device and a blow-by gas returning conduit of the blow-by gas returning device.

摘要: A blow-by gas refluxing device is provided for an engine system including an engine and an intake air passage communicating with the engine for supplying intake air into the engine. The blow-by gas refluxing device includes a plurality of blow-by gas refluxing passages each having an inlet communicating with the engine and an outlet communicating with the intake air passage. The outlets of the blow-by gas passages communicate with the intake air passage at different positions along the length of the intake air passage and each of the blow-by gas passages has a backflow preventing device disposed therein, so that blow-by gas produced in the engine can flow into the intake air passage via at least one of the blow-by gas refluxing passages throughout the entire operational range of the engine.
