摘要: An apparatus for diagnosing a blow-by gas recirculation system may include a head portion of an engine configured to form a combustion chamber, a head cover provided on an upper portion of the head portion, a crankcase formed on a lower portion of the combustion chamber, an intake line through which an intake-air flows to the combustion chamber, a breather hose connecting the crankcase and the intake line at an upstream side of a compressor mounted on the intake line, a PCV hose connecting the crankcase and a surge tank, and a controller configured to determine an abnormality of the breather hose based on a modelled crankcase pressure determined from an atmospheric pressure and an intake flow rate introduced through a throttle valve and a measured crankcase pressure measured from a pressure sensor configured to measure an internal pressure of the crankcase.

The filter element 58 comprises a filter media component 60, and the filter element is locatable within the chamber 19 in the flow path so that fluid flowing from the inlet 54 to the outlet 56 is directed through the filter media component. The filter assembly 7 comprises at least one first alignment assembly having a first alignment component 64a provided by the housing portion 21c and disposed within chamber 19, and a second alignment component 66a provided by the filter element 58. The first and second alignment components 64a and 66a cooperate to rotationally orient the filter element 58 within the chamber 19.

摘要: An abnormality detection device for an engine system detects an abnormality in a fuel vapor pipe connected to an intake pipe of an engine at a portion upstream of a supercharger in a flow direction of intake air. The abnormality detection device includes an intake air temperature sensor and an abnormality detection portion. The intake air temperature sensor is fitted to the intake pipe on an upstream side of the supercharger in the flow direction of intake air and detects a temperature of intake air mixed with fuel vapor introduced into the intake pipe from the fuel vapor pipe. The abnormality detection portion detects an abnormality in the fuel vapor pipe according to a detection value of intake air detected by the intake air temperature sensor.

摘要: Methods for preventing a premature ignition of a cylinder charge in advance of a planned ignition point in an internal combustion engine are provided. In one method, a pressure in a crankcase of the internal combustion engine is adjusted so as to prevent lubricating oil constituents from being transported from the crankcase to a combustion chamber of a cylinder of the internal combustion engine due to a pressure ratio between the crankcase and the combustion chamber. In another method, an ignition point for a cylinder of the internal combustion engine is adjusted in a given operating range of the internal combustion engine in such a way that the adjusted ignition point brings about a knocking combustion in the cylinder. Internal combustion engines having a device for preventing a premature ignition of a cylinder charge in advance of a planned ignition point are also provided.

摘要: An engine includes an air filter assembly having a filter element and a case. A base of the case includes multiple clips, multiple pins, and a catch. The clips are configured to engage a bottom wall of the filter element. A cover of the case includes multiple hinge wings, a hook, and a guide structure. Each of the hinge wings is coupled with a corresponding pin of the base to allow the cover to rotate about the pins. The hook is configured to fasten to the catch of the base for securing the case in a closed configuration. The guide is configured to facilitate placement of the hook and prevent lateral slipping of the hook from the catch of the base. The base and the cover define an interior volume of the air filter assembly sized to receive the filter element.

摘要: Methods and systems are provided for coordinating throttle bypass flows from brake booster vacuum reservoir, a fuel vapor purge system, and a crankcase ventilation system via active, electrical control of a crankcase ventilation valve. In one example, a method may include actively opening the crankcase ventilation valve to allow crankcase ventilation flow into the engine during conditions in which doing so will not result in engine air flow rate and/or engine fuel flow rate exceeding desired rates. Priority is given first to brake booster replenishment, then to fuel vapor purging, and then to crankcase ventilation during conditions where all three throttle bypass flows are desired.

摘要: A fault diagnostic system of a vehicle includes a noise module that determines a noise value based on a plurality of differences between samples of a pressure signal generated by a pressure sensor located in a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system of an engine. A signal module determines a signal value based on the samples of the pressure signal generated by the pressure sensor located in the PCV system of the engine. A diagnostic value module determines a diagnostic value based on one of: (i) a product of the noise value and the signal value; and (ii) a sum based on the noise value and the signal value. A fault module selectively diagnoses a fault in the PCV system based on the diagnostic value and generates a malfunction indicator within a passenger cabin of the vehicle in response to the diagnosis of the fault in the PCV system.

The heat transfer member includes a first heat transfer member and a second heat transfer member, and at least one of the first heat transfer member and the second heat transfer member forms the terminal member at one portion, and the first heat transfer member is provided in the pipe member in such a way as not to be exposed inside the flow channel of the pipe member.
