    摘要: A collection system for collecting samples from a flowstream (5) exiting a supercritical fluid chromatography system is provided. The collection system comprises: (i) a first back pressure regulator (10) on the flowstream as it exits the chromatography system, (ii) a gas-liquid separator (30) having a tapered and angled dripper (65), which introduces the flow into the separator at an angle tangential to the separator wall; and (iii) one or more fraction collectors (15), wherein the fraction collector is at a reduced pressure collection point, between 100 bar and atmospheric pressure. A collection system for HPLC is also provided, as well as a process for collection of samples from a flowstream.

    摘要: A drive mechanism for back pressure regulator used in liquid chromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography, or supercritical fluid extraction allows very fine automated control over a very wide range of pressures by combining a linear actuator compressing a spring, pushing a pin. The nozzle assembly of the regulator comprises a flow through chamber containing a diaphragm and a seat, in which the pin pushes the diaphragm against the seat, together with an upstream pressure sensor and electronic feedback control to the motor of the actuator. The BPR of the embodiments exhibits high pressure stability and extremely low pressure noise, even at moderate to high pressures. The exemplary BPR can be use at either constant pressure or to generate pressure programs where the pressure is varied versus time. Further, the nozzle assembly has a field-replaceable head, requiring no mechanical adjustment on replacement.

    摘要: Provided is a method of manufacturing target substances with use of supercritical fluid chromatography, by which the following are achieved: solution of a problem at the time of sequential injections of samples containing the target substances; an increase of a treatment amount of separation per unit time; and improvement of efficiency in separation. The method includes the steps of: injecting the sample containing the target substances into a mobile phase; and returning composition of the mobile phase to a pre-change state after changing the composition of the mobile phase. The step of returning the composition of the mobile phase to the pre-change state after changing the composition of the mobile phase is performed during a period of time from detection of a peak of one of the target substances which is eluted latest from a column among the target substances separated by the supercritical fluid chromatography apparatus to injection of the next sample, whereby the problem is solved.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a pressure control apparatus for a supercritical fluid in which variation in pressure is small even in measurement in which analysis conditions are changed with time to improve separation and other performance. That is, a pressure control apparatus for a supercritical fluid according to the present invention includes: a valve comprising; a valve chamber provided in a midway of a channel through which a supercritical fluid passes; and an electrically-operated valve element located in the valve chamber; wherein a front end of the valve element fits into the valve chamber when the valve is closed, and it travels backward when the valve is opened; a pressure detection member for detecting the pressure of the supercritical fluid in the channel on an upstream or downstream side of the valve chamber; an open/close control member for controlling the pressure detected by the pressure detection member to be a target pressure; and a valve-opening rate adjustment member for adjusting the valve-opening rate when the valve is opened based on the state of the supercritical fluid.

    摘要: A method for the superficial-phase chromatography of a product comprises the steps which are performed continuously in the following order, namely: an operation consisting in pumping a supercritical fluid; and operation consisting of injecting at least one sample of product into at least one chromatography column, a detection operation, and a fraction collection operation. The method comprises at least a first diversion along between an analytical channel and a preparatory channel, which diversion is performed prior to the supercritical fluid pumping operation and the analytical and preparatory channels each including respective supercritical fluid pumping operations. The method is also characterized in that the collection operation is common to both the analytical and preparatory channels. An installation used to implement one such method is described.
