摘要: In a quantitative determination device 100 for brominated flame-retardant compounds, a storage section 41 holds a relative response factor 411 representing a relationship of a measured intensity of a compared compound to that of a reference compound selected from target compounds. A standard-sample measurer 43 acquires the intensity of the reference compound by measuring a standard sample, using an analyzer 10, 20. A target-sample measurer 45 acquires the intensities of the reference and compared compounds by measuring a target sample, using the analyzer. A reference-compound quantity determiner 46 determines a quantitative value of the reference compound in the target sample. A compared-compound quantity determiner 47 determines a quantitative value of the compared compound based on the quantity of the reference compound in the standard sample, intensity of the reference compound acquired by the standard-sample measurer, intensity of the compared compound acquired by the target-sample measurer, and relative response factor of the compared compound.

摘要: The teachings herein provide for a method of analyzing testosterone using mass spectrometry. The method entails combining in a vial or well, a tagging reagent that is reactive with testosterone, an aqueous precipitation agent that precipitate proteins from solution, and an internal standard solution, the internal standard solution containing a known concentration of an isotopically enriched testosterone and then adding to the vial or well, a sample containing or suspected to contain testosterone. The vial can then be mixed to cause simultaneous precipitation of proteins and reaction of any testosterone present with the tagging reagent to form a mixture of a precipitate and a liquid solution. The liquid solution can then be separated from any precipitate and then analyzed for testosterone using liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry.

The flow path switching section is configured to be selectively switched to a component trap mode that connects the liquid chromatograph section and the trap section in such a way that a sample component separated in a separation column is trapped by a trap column of the trap section; and a collection mode that connects the eluent supply section and the trap section and connects the trap section and the collector in such a way that the components trapped in the trap column are eluted by an eluent from the eluent supply section and are guided to the collector.

The methodologies include a two-step process comprising a reductive amination step of providing a reducing glycan and reacting it with a compound having a primary amine to produce an intermediate compound. The intermediate compound is then rapidly tagged with a rapid tagging reagent to produce the rapid labeled dextran ladder.

摘要: A sample may be prepared and then analyzed using a liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry system to determine presence and concentration of herbicide(s) present in the sample. In some examples, the method involves providing a sample containing one or more herbicides and adding a base to the sample. The base may increase the pH of the sample to ≥12, thereby hydrolyzing esters of the one or more herbicides. The method may further involve, subsequent to hydrolyzing the esters of the one or more herbicides, adding an acid to the sample so as to lower the pH of the sample to ≤3. Once prepared, the sample can be injected into a liquid chromatography instrument to separate the herbicide molecules from other molecules present in the sample before being ionized and characterized by mass-to-charge ratio and relative abundance using one or more mass spectrometers.

The method comprises subjecting the sample to an ionization source under conditions suitable to produce one or more ions detectable by mass spectrometry from each of the one or more analytes; measuring, by mass spectrometry, the amount of the one or more ions from each of the one or more analytes; and using the measured amount to determine the amount of each of the one or more analytes in the sample.
