    摘要: A pedestrian protection device for a motor vehicle having a windscreen and an A-pillar extending adjacent a side edge of the windscreen. The protection device comprises a base member securable to the A-pillar of the motor vehicle, and a trim member moveable relative to the base member. A deployment mechanism is operable upon actuation of the device to drive the trim member away from the base member from an initial position in which the trim member is proximal to the base member, to a deployed position in which the trim member is spaced from the base member. The deployment mechanism comprises a plastically deformable member interconnecting the base member and the trim member and which is arranged, in said deployed position of the trim member, to absorb impact energy arising from impact between a pedestrian and the trim member in compression.

    摘要: In an automobile inner panel and an automobile panel that includes the automobile inner panel, panel rigidity of the panel is secured while achieving a weight reduction. An automobile inner panel 2 has a plurality of sub-units 10 that each include a flange 11, an inclined wall 12 continuous with the flange 11, and a bottom portion 13 continuous with inclined wall 12 and separated from the flange 11. The bottom portions 13 and 13 of the sub-units 10 and 10 which are adjacent to each other are butted against each other and are directly continuous with each other. A maximum value of a distance D1 between two of the flanges 11 and 11 of two of the sub-units 10 and 10 in which the bottom portions 13 are arranged separated from each other and which are adjacent to each other is 250 mm or less.

    摘要: The invention relates to protection devices providing operational safety for vehicles, mainly of agricultural purpose. The technical result consists of enhancing the efficiency of safety device through the improvement of operational reliability in frontal and lateral collisions and simplicity of restoring its structural integrity after collision. The vehicle protection device includes a base, and a barrier located in front of the base and fastened thereto by means of at least two struts having one end attached to the barrier and the other end to the base. Each of the struts is made of at least two separate rod-shaped elements featuring holes along their longitudinal axes, and containing detachable joints at their ends; said elements are configured to enable them to stay connected with each other by means of a flexible element passing through the holes of all rod-shaped elements of the struts. The struts are also configured to make their mutual disconnection possible under axial or lateral load. Moreover, said flexible element is configured to interact with a base-mounted mechanism for activating the sensor of the vehicle stopping system.
