Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a system comprising a computer-readable storage medium storing at least one program and a method for navigating an avatar based on time zones. A global event is identified that begins at a particular time on a given date; a sequential list of time zones associated with a plurality of geographical locations is retrieved; and a current time at a first time zone of the sequential list of time zones is determined to have reached the particular time on the given date. In response, an avatar is generated for display on a map at a first of the plurality of geographical locations associated with the first time zone and is navigated to a second geographical location when a current time at a second time zone, associated with the second geographical location, reaches the particular time on the given date.

Abstract: One or more processing devices receive a definition of a search query for a correlation search of a data store, the data store comprising time-stamped events that each include raw machine data reflecting activity in an information technology environment and produced by a component of the information technology environment, receive a definition of a triggering condition to be evaluated based on aggregated statistics of values of one or more fields of a dataset produced by the search query, receive a definition of one or more actions to be performed when the triggering condition is satisfied, generate, using search processing language, a statement to define the search query and the triggering condition, and in view of the results of the execution of the search processing language, cause generation of the correlation search using the defined search query, the triggering condition, and the one or more actions, the correlation search comprising updated search processing language having the search query and a processing command for criteria on which the triggering condition is based.

Abstract: A system for executing a search in a dataset is provided. The system includes a storage element that stores a directed property graph derived from the dataset. The directed property graph includes entity vertices corresponding to entities of the dataset, edges corresponding to properties of the entities, and value vertices corresponding to data values of the properties. Each edge couples an entity vertex to a value vertex and includes a label indicating an association therebetween. The system further includes processing circuitry that receives a search query including a reference value. The processing circuitry identifies a value vertex having a data value that is associated with the reference value and generates a response to the search query based on labels of edges coupled to the value vertex, and entities of the dataset represented by entity vertices coupled to the value vertex by way of the edges.

Abstract: A skill-gap analysis and recommender system and method is described that serves as a personalized education and skill (PES) map. It provides a comprehensive presentation of the opportunities afforded by the University along with a detailed analysis of trends for placements and career goals. It conducts a comprehensive analysis of past student data and current market trends to make recommendations that are adapted to each student's profile in line with their individual career goals. This is accomplished using an algorithm for adaptive association pattern mining with a built-in mechanism for creation of meta-categories and drill-down for specifics, so as to meet the needs of every student and not miss infrequent patterns or rare opportunities afforded by the system. For the recommendations generated, the system also provides an assessment of the time-sensitivity of a goal and a mechanism for students to track their progress through prioritizing short and long term goals.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a document comparison system (100) for comparing a first document (D1) with a second document (D2). The first document (D1) includes at least a first section having at least one first section entity (CEn), and the second document (D2) includes at least one second document entity (CEn). The document comparison system includes a processor (110) and a memory device (120). The processor is configured to identify the at least one first section entity (CEn) in the first section of the first document (D1). The processor conducts a search of the second document (D2) to identify the presence or absence of one or more second document entity (CEn) corresponding to or equivalent to each first section entity (CEn) identified in the first section. The present disclosure also relates to a dictionary generating system; a document comparison method; a dictionary populating method; and non-transitory computer-readable medium.

Abstract: A computer-implemented system and method relate to natural language processing. A candidate is selected based on a query. The candidate includes a question and an answer to that question. The candidate is classified as belonging to a class. The class indicates that the candidate is relevant to the query. The class is selected from among a group of classes, which includes at least that class and another class. The another class indicates that the candidate has the answer to the query. Upon classifying the candidate as belonging to the class, a machine learning system is configured to generate a relevant response for the query upon receiving the query and the question as input data. The relevant response provides information associated with a keyword of the question that is not contained in the query.
