摘要: Patterns in lane data and traffic signal data around intersections are used to detect potential errors in map databases and automatically generate data for map databases. Groups of lanes inbound into intersections and/or outbound from intersections can be categorized, and these categories may be used to compare lanes around an intersection, or at multiple intersections along a roadway or in a region. Deviations from expected patterns of these intersection categories may be used to identify errors. Patterns of internal lanes based on external lanes and traffic signal data may be used to automatically generate internal lane data for intersections.

摘要: A vehicular control system includes a forward-sensing sensor and a rearward-sensing sensor disposed at an equipped vehicle. The system, as the equipped vehicle travels along a traffic lane of a road, and responsive to processing of forward sensor data captured by the forward-sensing sensor, determines a condition ahead of the equipped vehicle. The system, via processing of rearward sensor data captured by the rearward-sensing sensor, determines an overtaking vehicle rearward of the equipped vehicle and overtaking the equipped vehicle to pass the equipped vehicle. Based at least in part on the determined condition and the determined overtaking vehicle, the system determines a safeness of a passing maneuver by the overtaking vehicle. Responsive to determination that it is not safe for the overtaking vehicle to pass the equipped vehicle, the system indicates to the overtaking vehicle that it is not safe for the overtaking vehicle to pass the equipped vehicle.

摘要: According to one aspect, methods to select and implement a failover behavior based on situational awareness, when an autonomous vehicle enters a failover condition, are provided. Operation design domains, other users who share a road with the autonomous vehicle, and tailgaters may be considered when determining a deceleration profile, a trajectory length, and a trajectory type for the autonomous vehicle to follow when executing failover behavior. An autonomous driving system of an autonomous vehicle detects a failover event while the autonomous vehicle is traveling along a path and analyzes an environment surrounding the autonomous vehicle to determine whether a tailgater is present behind the autonomous vehicle. The autonomous driving system generates a failover plan for performing a failover behavior based on the failover event and the environment surrounding the autonomous vehicle and engages the autonomous vehicle to implement the failover plan for performing the failover behavior.

摘要: A method secures a host vehicle circulating on a traffic lane of a road infrastructure including at least one lane adjacent to the traffic lane. The securing method includes, for each adjacent lane: detecting a plurality of vehicles present on the adjacent lane, including an estimate of at least one information item relating to each detected vehicle, including the speed; determining, with the detected vehicles forming a flow of vehicles, a value representing the speed of the flow on the adjacent lane, for example, the average speed; comparing the speed of the host vehicle with the value representing the speed of the flow of vehicles on the adjacent lane; and, if the speed of the host vehicle is greater than a predetermined threshold at the value representing the speed of the flow of vehicles on the adjacent lane, detecting a hazardous situation for the host vehicle.

The control system is configured to: while a torque path between the engine and a first set of vehicle wheels is disconnected, control the electric traction motor to provide tractive torque to a second set of vehicle wheels to automatically move the vehicle to provide electric vehicle creep. The electric vehicle creep is controlled by a mathematical model of engine creep torque that would be provided by the engine when the torque path between the engine and the first set of vehicle wheels is connected.

摘要: A method of controlling system limit of a vehicle performing a circuit mode includes determining, by a controller, whether the vehicle arrives at a circuit and enters the circuit mode. The method also includes determining, by the controller, whether safe travel is required based on racing situation information in the circuit upon determining that the vehicle enters the circuit mode. The method additionally includes performing, by the controller, system limit release control for releasing a limit state of a vehicle system for vehicle driving upon determining that safe travel is unnecessary. The disclosed method may limit a vehicle system interlocked with a circuit mode in a vehicle capable of performing a circuit mode in which a general driver may travel on and experience a circuit using a vehicle of the driver.
