Abstract: A framework and a method provided for monitoring and managing IoT devices. The method includes providing a cloud- and device-agnostic IoT cloud platform that interfaces with applications, IoT management platforms, and IoT device controllers. Each IoT management platform manages one or more IoT device controllers, and each IoT device controller controls a respective IoT device. The method includes receiving a request for performing a transaction corresponding to an IoT device from an application. In response to receiving the request, the method includes generating a set of operation commands for performing the transaction through an IoT management platform. The set of operation commands is generated based on a set of configurations associating the transaction to the IoT management platform. The method also includes triggering performance of the transaction by issuing the set of operation commands to the IoT management platform.

Abstract: A power saving method for lower-power devices is disclosed. Unencrypted IoT packets are received from low-power sensors. An identity of a mobile device is registered and public keys are exchanged between an MQTT agent and the mobile device. An advanced encryption standard (AES) key is generated according to public and private keys of the MQTT agent and a public key of the mobile device and received IoT packets are encrypted using the AES key. The encrypted IoT packets are transmitted to an MQTT broker. The MQTT broker forward the encrypted IoT packets to the mobile device. The mobile device exchanges the AES key with the electronic device according to its own public key through the secure shell (SSH) mechanism. The mobile device decrypts the IoT packets through the AES key.

Abstract: Methods and systems autonomously parking and retrieving vehicles are disclosed. Available parking spaces or parking facilities may be identified, and the vehicle may be navigated to an available space from a drop-off location without passengers. Special-purpose sensors, GPS data, or wireless signal triangulation may be used to identify vehicles and available parking spots. Upon a user request or a prediction of upcoming user demand, the vehicle may be retrieved autonomously from a parking space. Other vehicles may be autonomously moved to facilitate parking or retrieval.
