摘要: A system allows for a user to notify an insurance provider or other third-party with a button press. The button can notify of an emergency situation. An event determiner may analyze information of events surrounding the button click. This information may include the time of day, location, identifying information for the insured, recent locations of the button, information from similar button presses and information from previous insurance claims. Based on this information, the event determiner may provide a high percentage estimate of an abnormal condition: home break-in, car accident, flat tire, etc. The system may automatically take action, depending on the event, such as contacting the police, sending a tow truck, or starting an insurance claim.

A receiver is configured for wirelessly receiving the at least temperature and motion information from the sensing unit and wirelessly re-transmitting the information to a portable electronic communication device.

摘要: A method comprising: controlling an active reflected wave detector to measure wave reflections from an environment using a first frame rate to accrue measured wave reflection data for a classifier, after a first amount of time, determining whether a predefined criteria is satisfied, wherein satisfaction of the predefined criteria is indicative of the classifier being likely to successfully identify a fall status of a person in the environment by a second amount of time of accruing measured wave reflection data from the active reflected wave detector, the second amount of time being greater than the first amount of time; in the event that the predefined criteria is not met, the method comprising controlling the active reflected wave detector to accrue measured wave reflection data at a lower second frame rate for classifying the fall status based on measured wave reflection data accrued at the lower second rate.

摘要: Methods and systems for assessing, detecting, and responding to malfunctions involving components of autonomous vehicles and/or smart homes are described herein. Autonomous operation features and related components can be assessed using direct or indirect data regarding operation. Such assessment may be performed to determine the robustness of autonomous systems, including the use of virtual assessment of software components within a simulated environment. To this end, a server may retrieve one or more routines associated with autonomous operation. The server may also generate a set of test data associated with test conditions. The server may also execute an emulator that virtually simulates autonomous environment. The test data may be presented to the routines executing in the emulator to generate output data. The server may then analyze the output data to determine a quality metric.
