Abstract: An example system includes a vehicle having a platform, a linear slide configured on the platform, a robotic retrieval system configured on the linear slide, a shelf configured adjacent to the linear slide and a control system that controls a reception of a first item and a second item by the robotic retrieval system and a placement of the first item and the second item, by the robotic retrieval system, on the shelf. A drone can be configured to retrieve the first item or the second item from the robotic retrieval system on the vehicle and deliver the first item or the second item to a destination location. The vehicle can thereby enable delivery of many items without the vehicle stopping or even driving to a specific destination location.

The container includes a handle having a third locking element that engages the first locking element. The locking elements are configured to move the container between a first orientation in which the container is provisionally fixed to the guide member and a second orientation in which the container can translate relative to the guide member.

Abstract: In a method for storing and picking stackable article carriers in an order fulfillment facility, in which transport loading aids are transported between a loading station with an automatically operated loading device, a storage zone and a removal station with an automatically operated unloading device by autonomously moveable, driverless transport vehicles, the transport loading aids are loaded with article carrier stacks in the loading station and the article carrier stacks are discharged from the transport loading aids in the unloading station. Subsequently, the article carriers for a picking order are reloaded onto one or multiple target loading aids. Further, an order fulfillment facility stores and stackable article carriers.

Abstract: A tow dolly cross rail assembly includes a male bar and a pair of female bars arranged in a slidable relationship, forming an arched configuration that creates a positive camber effect at dolly tires at the outer ends of the bars. The male bar comprises an apex that forms an angle that orients upwardly, forming an angle between about 165° to 179°. The center male bar and pair of female bars are arranged in a slidable relationship with each other. The midpoint of the center male bar forms an apex. The inner end of female bars is in a slidable relationship with free ends of center male bar. The female bars telescopically slide along the free ends of center male bar for increasing and decreasing length of cross rail. The arched configuration of the center male bar slopes the female bars to create a positive camber at the dolly tires.

The assembly also includes a controller that activates the elevating mechanism to raise the pair of individual storage units a predetermined height, and the motor to rotate the wheel to move the unitized storage assembly in at least one direction.

Abstract: A mobile delivery apparatus is provided. Another aspect provides a software program used with a mobile delivery apparatus. Still another aspect includes a mobile delivery system utilizing a smart carousel dispenser. An aspect of the mobile delivery apparatus includes a delivery vehicle having a motor operable to drive terrestrial wheels of the delivery vehicle, a cargo box section, a carousel positioned in the cargo box section, and a plurality of storage bins positioned on the carousel. A further aspect includes at least one scanner positioned adjacent a first access door and configured to scan the bins and the parcels held in the bins as the carousel rotates. Yet another aspect employs a controller to rotate the carousel and selectively align one or more of the storage bins with a second access door.
