摘要: An automated grid-based storage and retrieval system includes a framework structure, a plurality of storage containers, a container handling vehicle, and a control system. The framework structure includes upright members and a rail system including a grid of horizontal rails provided at upper ends of the upright members. The framework structure defines a storage volume comprising storage columns arranged adjacent one another below the horizontal rails, the grid defining a plurality of grid positions. The plurality of storage containers are stacked on top of one another in the storage columns to form a plurality of stacks in the storage columns. The container handling vehicle includes a lifting device which can be lowered from the container handling vehicle for picking up a storage container. The control system includes records of, for each grid position including a stack of storage containers, a grid coordinate and a level of the storage containers in the stack of the storage column corresponding to that grid position. A method for determining a position of a container handling vehicle on a rail system of an automated grid-based storage and retrieval system includes, for at least one grid position, determining a level of the storage containers in the stack by lowering the lifting device of a first container handling vehicle until a storage container is detected at a vertical position by the lifting device; and determining, using the control system, a grid position of the first container handling vehicle through matching the detected vertical position with a record of a grid position having the same level of storage containers in a stack.

摘要: A system and method for handling includes a tote handler. The tote handler includes an adjustable grip hand or a merger hand. The adjustable grip hand includes finger assemblies movable by actuators between a closed with the fingers urged together and an open position with the fingers urged apart. The fingers are selectively movable by the actuators between a retracted and an extended position. The merger grip hand includes insert fingers and suction fingers. Each of the insert fingers include a polygonal body having a peripheral surface shaped for engaging receipt within an inner surface of a tote. The suction fingers include elongate members with suction cups thereon. The suction fingers are movable between a closed position with the suction fingers urged towards the insert fingers and an open position with the suction fingers urged away from the insert fingers.

摘要: A local device may receive, from a remote device, a task to be completed at a workstation within a logistics center in which orders are fulfilled and processed. The local device may determine, among a plurality of robotic agents at the workstation, a robotic agent configured to perform the task. An in-memory datastore having cache and compute capabilities may be stored in memory of the local device may store data associated with the task and the robotic agent to complete the task. The local device may instruct the robotic agent to perform the task and may receive, from the robotic agent, an indication associated with the performance of the task. This data may be stored in the in-memory datastore and/or may be used for assigning future tasks.

摘要: An article storage facility is disclosed that is capable of performing an appropriate transport operation on a container group even when a container group that includes a plurality of containers in a stacked state is placed on a placement surface in an inclined state. The control device performs inclination computation processing to obtain a placement inclination θ that is an inclination of a container group Cg placed on a placement surface F relative to a Z direction, based on coordinate information, bottom surface dimension information, and container group position information that are stored in a storage unit, and individual position computation processing to obtain individual position information that indicates a position, in X and Y directions, of each of the containers C in the tiers included in the container group Cg, based on the container group position information, the placement inclination θ, and the height dimension information, and controls a movement mechanism based on the individual position information.

摘要: Sample receptacles are automatically transferred from first and second storage areas of a storage module to a conveyor without passing over any other sample receptacle stored in the storage module. Receptacle holding positions in the first and second storage areas are arranged in rows and columns, and sample containers are transferred row-by-row or column-by-column, starting with sample container held closest to a first side of the first or second storage area. Receptacles transferred from the first storage area are transferred across the first side to the conveyor. Receptacles transferred from the second storage area are transferred across the first side into a first receptacle transport path between the first and second storage areas, and then to a second receptacle transport path across the first storage area, and then to the conveyor. To avoid passing a receptacle over another receptacle, receptacles are first removed from intervening holding positions between a respective holding position from which the receptacle is being transferred and the first side of the first or second storage area.
