摘要: An example computing device is configured to receive an instance of a customer service model representative of a plurality of customer services. Each of the plurality of customer services associated with a corresponding at least one requirement and a corresponding at least one constraint. The computing device is configured to receive an instance of a resource model representative of a plurality of resources and map the instance of the customer service model and the instance of the resource model to an internal placement model. The computing device is configured to allocate the plurality of resources to the plurality of customer services such that the at least one requirement and the at least one constraint for each of the plurality of customer services are satisfied and inverse map data indicating how the plurality of resources are allocated to a format consumable by the customer device and output the inverse mapped data.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for data management are described. A first computing node within a first set of computing nodes may receive, from a network gateway, a first replication request that is associated with a first replication job for the first cluster of computing nodes to provide copies of a first set of one or more computing snapshots to a second cluster of computing nodes. The first set of computing nodes may determine that a second computing node different from the first computing node will service the data replication request. A network bandwidth allocation may be increased for the first computing node that received the replication request directly from the network gateway while the network bandwidth allocation for the second computing node is maintained for the second computing node based on the second computing node receiving the request via an internal redirection of the request.

摘要: Described is a novel framework, we call intent-based computing jobs assignment framework, for efficiently accommodating a clients' computing job requests in a mobile edge computing infrastructure. We define the intent-based computing job assignment problem, which jointly optimizes the virtual topology design and virtual topology mapping with the objective of minimizing the total bandwidth consumption. We use the Integer Linear Programming (ILP) technique to formulate this problem, and to facilitate the optimal solution. In addition, we employ a novel and efficient heuristic algorithm, called modified Steiner tree-based (MST-based) heuristic, which coordinately determines the virtual topology design and the virtual topology mapping. Comprehensive simulations to evaluate the performance of our solutions show that the MST-based heuristic can achieve an efficient performance that is close to the optimal performance obtained by the ILP solution.

摘要: Systems, methods, and media for generating a virtual gaming environment. Specifically, an instance of a virtual gaming environment is generated and hosted on a server. Responsive to communicatively connecting a first and second user computing devices, a virtual gaming environment is populated with at least a first virtual avatar, a virtual desktop, a second virtual avatar, and a second virtual desktop. It is determined that the first virtual avatar is within a first predetermined distance of the second desktop, and based on this, a resolution at which to render a visual representation of activities being executed by a second user computing device associated with the second desktop is determined. A bandwidth at which the visual representation is renderable in real time at the determined resolution is calculated. The visual representation is transmitted, utilizing the calculated bandwidth, to the first user computing device at the determined resolution.
