    Abstract: A packet forwarding method, an electronic device, and a storage medium are disclosed. The method may include: determining a flow identifier of the service flow; determining a basic time slot number of a first packet in the service flow according to the flow identifier; determining a time slot offset of the first node for the service flow according to the flow identifier; and determining an enqueue slot number of the first packet according to the basic time slot number and the time slot offset.

    Abstract: According to a load sharing method and a network device, traffic distribution ratios are correspondingly preset for different paths. For example, an equivalent resistance method is used as a load sharing algorithm provided in embodiments of this application, to calculate a corresponding traffic distribution ratio for each possible path. The traffic distribution ratio and the corresponding path are preset for a corresponding node. In this way, traffic entering a network device is distributed to each path in the network device based on the preset ratio, without causing excessive bandwidth pressure on a shortest path, to implement relatively optimal load balancing. For the network device with either a ring network structure or a stereoscopic network structure, a requirement for a link bandwidth between the nodes in the network device can be reduced.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for data management are described. A first computing node within a first set of computing nodes may receive, from a network gateway, a first replication request that is associated with a first replication job for the first cluster of computing nodes to provide copies of a first set of one or more computing snapshots to a second cluster of computing nodes. The first set of computing nodes may determine that a second computing node different from the first computing node will service the data replication request. A network bandwidth allocation may be increased for the first computing node that received the replication request directly from the network gateway while the network bandwidth allocation for the second computing node is maintained for the second computing node based on the second computing node receiving the request via an internal redirection of the request.

    Abstract: Technical solutions provided in this application may be applied to an extended reality XR service or another low-latency service. In a multi-hop scenario, after receiving a data packet sent by a previous-hop node and an encoding coefficient of the data packet relative to an original data packet, a forwarding node first determines a newest encoding coefficient based on the encoding coefficient received by the forwarding node from the previous-hop node and an encoding coefficient newly obtained by the forwarding node, and encodes, by using the newest encoding coefficient, the data packet received by the forwarding node from the previous-hop node. In this case, a data packet obtained through encoding is essentially a data packet obtained by the forwarding node by encoding the original data packet by using the newly obtained encoding coefficient. An encoding calculation amount can be further reduced while network recoding is implemented, thereby improving an encoding rate.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a packet processing method and system, and a device. A status value used to identify a topology status of service nodes at a specified time is preconfigured for a packet in a packet flow, so that when a service node in a next hop is selected for the packet, selection is performed not based on a topology status of current actual service nodes in the next hop, but based on the topology status, which is identified by the status value, of the service nodes at the specified time. As long as status values carried in packets in a same packet flow are the same, even if a topology status of service nodes changes, a same service node can still be selected for the packets in the same packet flow, thereby avoiding a problem of diversion of the packets in the same packet flow.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for providing quality of service over IP networks are disclosed. In one aspect, a flow label field of a header may be divided into first and second portions. The first portion defines a quality of service. The second portion identifies a message flow. Once the first portion defining the quality of service is established by the sending node, no nodes in the transmission path may change the quality of service value. Each node may route packets based on the quality of service field, or may modify the traffic class field of the header based on the quality of service and then route the packet based on the traffic class field. The QoS field can be used to complement a DSCP/traffic class field and provide a better mechanism for end-to-end QoS using IPv6. A service provider can use DSCP within its own administrative domain(s), and end users can set and maintain QoS using the methods described herein, thereby providing a framework for end-to-end QoS using IP packets.
