Abstract: System and method for supporting scalable bitmap based P_Key table in a high performance computing environment. A method can provide, at least one subnet comprising one or more switches, a plurality of host channel adapters, and a plurality of end nodes. The method can associate the plurality of end nodes with at least one of a plurality of partitions, wherein each of the plurality of partitions are associated with a P_Key value. The method can associate each of the one or more switches with a bitmap based P_Key table of a plurality of bitmap based P_Key tables. The method can associate each of the host channel adapters with a bitmap based P_Key table of the plurality of bitmap based P_Key tables.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for improved routing operations in a network computing environment. A system includes a first switch and a second switch in a network topology. The system includes a host virtual machine in communication with at least one of the first switch and the second switch. The system includes a routed peer link connecting the first switch to the second switch. Abstract: Methods and systems for automatically determining correspondences between communication ports of a networked device and encoders and decoders connected to those communication ports. In some embodiments, the networked device and the encoders and decoders are connected to a video communications network provided by a switch. The networked device can query the video communications network for information related to the encoders and decoders to determine and save the port-to-device correspondences. In some embodiments, the networked device can extract device information from video signals received at its input ports to map the input ports to respectively connected decoders. In similar fashion, the networked device may transmit or embed port-specific information from its output ports to respectively connected encoders. Then, the networked device can query the video communications network for the port-specific information received at the encoders to map the output ports to respectively connected encoders.

Abstract: An object is to provide a communication system, a communication method, a transmission-side switching device, a reception-side switching device, and a program that can carry out network switching of a plurality of L2NWs with a short communication disconnection time without limiting topology.
A transmission-side accommodation SW duplicates a frame received from a transmission-side user device and transfers the frame to a plurality of L2NWs to which the transmission-side accommodation SW is connected. When receiving a frame from any one of the plurality of L2NWs to which a reception-side accommodation SW is connected, the reception-side accommodation SW transfers, to a reception-side user device, only a frame from one L2NW allowed to transfer a frame to an access accommodation port and discards frames from the other L2NWs. At a switching time of the L2NWs, the reception-side accommodation SW changes the L2NW allowed to transmit a frame to the access accommodation port.-

Abstract: Datalink frames or networking packets contain protocol information in the header and optionally in the trailer of a frame or a packet. We are proposing a method in which part of or all of the protocol information corresponding to a frame or a packet is transmitted separately in another datalink frame. The “Separately Transmitted Protocol Information” is referred to as STPI. The STPI contains enough protocol information to identify the next hop node or port. STPI can be used avoid network congestion and improve link efficiency. Preferably, there will be one datalink frame or network packet corresponding to each STPI, containing the data and the rest of the protocol information and this frame/packet is referred to as DFONP. The creation of STPI and DFoNP is done by the originator of the frame or packet such as an operating system.

A system includes a virtual customer edge router and a host routed overlay comprising a plurality of host virtual machines. Abstract: A modular energy system for use in a surgical environment includes a plurality of functional modules including at least an initial module, a functional module, and a terminal module. Each of the plurality of modules has a module control circuit, and a local data bus. An internal data bus is composed of a serial array of the local data busses of the modules. The local data bus may includes a communication switch, a first switch data path between the communication switch and the module control circuit, a second switch data path in communication with the communication switch, and a third switch data path in communication with the communication switch. The third switch data path of a module N is in communication with a second switch data path of a module N+1. The system further includes a termination unit in communication with the third data path of the terminal module.
