摘要： A method and a sports analytics system (SAS) for analyzing a live video broadcast stream (LVBS) of a sporting event are provided. The SAS splits the LVBS into a real time messaging protocol (RTMP) stream and a hypertext transfer protocol live stream (HLS) and analyses the RTMP stream using a phase difference between the RTMP stream and the HLS. The SAS detects persons present in a frame of the RTMP stream using a first set of cues and tracks the detected persons by analyzing preceding frames. The SAS recognizes the tracked persons using a second set of cues, assigns individual weights to each of the second set of cues, and compares the assigned weights of each of the recognized persons with pre-existing data of all players to identify the players in the frame. The SAS transmits the HLS and contextual interactive content of the identified players to a user device.

A media management device receives an audio track including lyrical content. Further, the media management device performs speech recognition analysis on the audio track to determine lyrical text corresponding to the lyrical content. Additionally, the media management device determines whether the audio track contains prohibited content based on comparing the lyrical text to a blacklist of prohibited information. When the audio track does not include prohibited content, the media management device publishes the audio track to a media library accessible to devices within the controlled environment.

In one embodiment, a network architecture having service delivery over at least portions of extant hybrid fiber coax (HFC) infrastructure is disclosed, which includes a node that enables standards-compliant ultra-low latency and high data rate services (e.g., 3GPP and IEEE Std. 802.11 services). In one variant, an expanded frequency band (e.g., 1.6 GHz in total bandwidth) is used over the coaxial portions of the HFC infrastructure, which is allocated to two or more sub-bands via 802.11ax protocols. The node is used in various network architectures configured to support different use cases such as for providing a small cell service, a distributed antenna system (DAS) at an enterprise premises or a venue, and a redundancy capability of data communication.

摘要： A method and apparatus for controlling tuners in a content distribution system is described. The method and apparatus receive a request from a user device for a program stream over a local network at a receiver device that includes a join request at a network address. The method and apparatus further identify a channel associated with the network address, the channel being one of the channels received by the receiver device from a content service provider. The method and apparatus also determine if the identified channel is already tuned by a tuner in the receiver device. The method and apparatus additionally tune the channel using a tuner not currently being used if it is determined that the identified channel is not already tuned and provide the program stream from the tuned channel at the network address to the user device.

摘要： A system and method for providing awareness in a hospitality environment are presented. In one embodiment, a vertical and horizontal array of thermostats is provided and each thermostat includes an identification corresponding to a room in which the thermostat is placed. Each thermostat includes a wireless transceiver that periodically transmits an identification beacon signal that is received by a proximate wireless-enabled programmable interactive device. The proximate wireless-enabled programmable interactive device, in turn, broadcasts data packets including an indication of the strength of thermostat identification signals received. The broadcasts are received by a server via an array of wireless routers. A location of the proximate wireless-enabled programmable interactive device is determined based on the signal strength information in the data packets.
