摘要: Systems, computer program products, and methods are described herein for implicit item embedding within a simulated electronic environment. In various embodiments, the invention includes utilizing a hybrid recommendation engine, the invention suggests product placements based on user data and preferences of a specific user. During the initial warm-up period, either user-based or product-based collaborative filtering is applied to assign the user to a collaborative user group until more information about the user becomes available. The hybrid recommendation engine is enhanced through a collaborative clustering component, which involves assigning the user to the collaborative user group via user-based collaborative filtering based on their similar user characteristics, product interests, or product preferences. The invention dynamically alters digital content streamed to the user's device. An implicit product placement module integrates recommended products within the entertainment content, providing a seamless and personalized experience for the user.

At a server, obtaining first media content from a client device, herein the first media content corresponds to a portion of media content being played on the client device, and the first media content is associated with a predefined expiration time; obtaining second media content from one or more content feeds, wherein the second media content also corresponds to a portion of the media content being played on the client device; in accordance with a determination that the second media content corresponds to a portion of the media content that has been played on the client device: before the predefined expiration time, obtaining third media content corresponding to the media content being played on the client device, from the one or more content feeds; and comparing the first media content with the third media content.

摘要: The present disclosure provides systems and methods for customized programming through “virtual zoning”, not based on network architecture or geographic region, via a modified electronic programming guide (EPG) provided to devices assigned to virtual zones. Broadcasters may thus provide virtual zone-based “localized” programming to devices regardless of location. The virtual zone-based EPG may be functionally identical to conventional EPGs, and thus fully compatible with existing recipient devices, without requiring custom programming or manufacturer resources. Content may be broadcast to virtual zones via multicast IP streams, with primary content provided to a plurality of virtual zones and custom content provided on a stream-by-stream basis. The resulting system is highly scalable, requiring additional resources only based on the number of virtual zones (which may be numbered in the tens or hundreds, in many implementations) rather than the number of recipient devices (which may be numbered in the millions).

In response to determining that the user is currently engaged in viewing short-length media content, a recommendation is provided to the user based on the short-media viewing profile. In response to determining that the user is currently engaged in viewing long-length media content, a recommendation is provided to the user based on the long-media viewing profile.

摘要: Methods and apparatus to generate audience measurement data from population sample data having incomplete demographic classifications are disclosed. An example method includes detecting that a number of impressions a time segment of a video occurred based on messages; detecting that no impressions for the time segment of the video were detected by the database proprietor; determining respective percentages of exposures of the video that are attributable to corresponding ones of multiple demographic groups, determining the respective percentages being based on the first demographic information provided by the database proprietor for exposures of other time segments of the video; attributing respective portions of the number of impressions to the demographic groups based on the respective percentages to determine imputed numbers of impressions; generating adjusted numbers of impressions based on the imputed numbers of impressions; and determining ratings information for the video using the adjusted numbers of impressions.

The machine learning system receives feedback data responsive to the content depiction and reprograms a configuration of the machine learning system for generating a content depiction based upon the feedback data.
