The system switches between a first live input stream indicated in a first live input stream manifest from a first regional network and a second live input stream indicated in a second live input stream manifest from a second regional network at scheduled time stamps based on a type of an event in the first live input stream manifest. Based on the switching between the first live input stream and the second live input stream, an updated first disparate live media output stream is generated.

In an embodiment, a method includes monitoring interactions of multiple users related to at least one of: multiple base content and multiple supplemental content. The supplemental content is associated with one or more products or services identified in the base content. Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for automatically arranging media assets that are contextually related to a requested media asset for access prior to a start time of the requested media asset. In some embodiments, user input circuitry may receive a user request to access a media asset. Control circuitry may identify, by consulting a database, a first set of media assets that share a context with the requested media asset and were released prior to the release date of the requested media asset. Control circuitry may determine a subset of media assets of the first set of media assets by performing a comparison of each media asset of the first set of the media assets against a viewing history of the user. Control circuitry may access a user profile to determine a user constraint, and generate a recommendation for display based on a first aspect of the user constraint.

Abstract: A system is provided for inserting a pre-encoded media asset in a media feed of a first channel based on an input on a notification associated with a media item and a defined selection parameter. Based on the pre-encoded media asset inserted in different channels and the defined selection parameter, a plurality of new channels is created. Based on a re-use of the pre-encoded media asset for one of the plurality of new channels, the plurality of new channels is created independent of an encoding operation prior to a distribution of program streams of the plurality of new channels to a plurality of consumer devices. The plurality of new channels is delivered over a distribution network without being required to be re-encoded.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining, based on recommendations provided by users that have consumed a media asset, which consumption options may be configured on a media device such that when configured enhance the user viewing experience for a specific media asset. The method includes accessing comments posted by other users that have consumed the media asset. The comments are analyzed to determine a consumption option recommendation. If the number of comments meet a threshold value, then the system either automatically configures the media device or configures the media device upon user approval with the recommended consumption option. The recommendation to configure a consumption option on the media device is made only if the recommendation is supported by the media device. The system also detects through audio and image analysis which users are consuming the media asset and accordingly configures the consumption options to their preferences.

Abstract: The system and methods described herein determine whether to override commands to modify content presentation in a multi-user content consumption environment. A media guidance application detects a first and second user consuming content. Upon receiving a command from the first user to modify the presentation of the content, the media guidance application retrieves a user profile of the second user and compares attributes in the user profile to metadata for the segment of the content. Based on the comparison, the media guidance application determines whether to override the command, for example based on a predicted interest level or importance level determined by the comparison. In response to determining to override the command, the media guidance application refrains from executing the command by canceling or delaying the command and generates a notification message to the user with a reason why the command was overridden.
