摘要: There is provided a wireless end-user device configured to assign one of classifications to each of end-user applications to allow for a differential network access control of the end-user applications. The classifications include a background classification and a foreground classification. The differential network access control includes a service usage control policies applicable when a network service is available via a wireless modem, the service usage control policies including a first policy that allows data associated with a first end-user application of the end-user applications to be communicated via the wireless modem, and a second policy that defers the data associated with the first end-user application to be communicated via the wireless modem until a state change occurs. The wireless end-user device is configured to dynamically select from the service usage control policies based on whether the background classification or the foreground classification is assigned to the first end-user application.

摘要: A client of a metering service defines mapping data and derivation instructions comprising schema metadata and predicate metadata. The metering service provides usage information for a set of computing resources provided by one or more services of a computing resource service provider. As computing resources are utilized, usage records are generated. A derivation system may obtain one or more usage records and determine whether a predicate applies. If the predicate applies, a derivation function may be executed. For example, the derivation function may generate, from an original usage record, a derived usage record using mapping data provided by a client.

Responsive to detecting the interruption, the termination unit advises a charging server of the operator of the interruption in service, a corresponding identifier of the customer unit—small cell pair, and a corresponding account identifier. Responsive to termination unit advising the charging server, the charging server advises a backend server of an associated cellular network of a customer identifier corresponding to the account identifier. Responsive to the charging server advising the backend server, the backend server advises a policy control function of the associated cellular network to modify network parameters of the associated cellular network to compensate for the interruption in service.

Responsive to receiving from the mobile device the indicator, and responsive to receiving a message from a sharing agent of the mobile device indicating that that no user inputs are received by the mobile device over a particular duration of time and that video content is not being streamed to the mobile device, a client access agent can access the shared resources, data to be processed by the shared device resources can be communicated to the mobile device, and a level of a quality of service provided by a communication network to the mobile device can be increased.

In response to validating the identity of the requestor, a computer processor determines whether the data subject access request is subject to fulfillment constraints. If so, then the computer processor notifies the requestor that the data subject access request is subject to one or more limitations and the computer processor takes action based on those limitations. Fulfillment constraint data is updated and maintained in a database or server.

摘要: Methods and apparatus for controlling a communication network (2) to deliver traffic to and/or from an end node (4) are presented. In an example method, a network node (8) receives information indicating a user-controllable selection at the end node (4) to have at least some of the end node (4)'s traffic delivered with a low priority level that is lower than a high priority level. Accordingly, the network node (8) controls the communication network to deliver at least some of the end node (4)'s traffic with said low priority level and awards one or more tokens accordingly. Furthermore, the network node (8) may receive information indicating a user-controllable selection at the end node (4) to have at least some traffic delivered with the high priority level. The network node (8) may accordingly redeem one or more tokens awarded to the end node (4) and controlling the communication network (2) to deliver at least some of the traffic with said high priority level.

摘要: A wireless end-user device has wireless wide-area network (WWAN) and wireless local-area network (WLAN) modems. One or more processors associate each of a plurality of Internet access requests with a corresponding destination address. The processors apply a differential traffic control policy to at least some of the Internet access requests, based on the corresponding destination address and whether or not that destination address is covered by a differential traffic control policy list. For one of the modems, the list treatment of a destination address determines whether an Internet access request is allowed or disallowed. For the other modem, the list treatment does not cause that same destination address to cause an Internet access request to be disallowed.

The method includes transmitting first information including a public land mobile network identifier (PLMN ID) for a sponsored service, to a first server operated by a service provider, receiving, in response to the first information, second information including a token related to the sponsored service from the first server, transmitting third information requesting the sponsored service based on the token to a second server operated by a network operator corresponding to the PLMN ID, and receiving authentication information from the second server.
