    Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are disclosed for energy detection in unlicensed spectrum. In one embodiment, a method implemented in a radio node includes determining a maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT) value; and listen-before-talk (LBT) parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or the LBT parameter settings for one or more LBT parameters depending on an energy detection (ED) threshold value used to access a channel in an unlicensed spectrum; and performing a LBT procedure to gain access to the channel and a transmission on the channel according to the LBT parameter settings and the MCOT value. In one embodiment, a method in a network node includes configuring a wireless device with a MCOT value and LBT parameter settings, the MCOT value and/or LBT parameter settings depending on an ED threshold value used at the wireless device to access the channel.

    Abstract: A shopping cart's tracking system determines a first baseline location of the shopping cart at a first timestamp with a wireless device located on the shopping cart detecting one or more external wireless devices (e.g., RFID tags) in the indoor environment. The shopping cart's tracking system receives wheel motion data from one or more wheel sensors coupled to one or more wheels of the shopping cart, wherein the wheel motion data describes rotation of the one or more wheels. The shopping cart's tracking system calculates a translation traveled by the shopping cart from the first baseline location based on the wheel motion data. The shopping cart's tracking system determines an estimated location of the shopping cart at a second timestamp based on the first baseline location and the translation. With the estimated location, the shopping cart can update a map with the estimated location of the shopping cart.

    Abstract: A system for processing data includes a terminal and a lower-layer terminal device. The terminal is provided with a first edge computing processor for implementing an edge computing function of the terminal, and the terminal supports a 5G-based relay communication technology from the terminal to the network. 5G communication connection is supported by the terminal and the lower-layer terminal device. A Sidelink connection is established between the terminal and the lower-layer terminal device. The lower-layer terminal device is configured to send a data processing request to the terminal through the Sidelink connection. The terminal is configured to receive and process the data processing request through the first edge computing processor to obtain a processed result; and send the processed result through the Sidelink connection to the lower-layer terminal device. The lower-layer terminal device is configured to receive the processed result through the Sidelink connection.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for resource selection for physical channels during initial access. A method of operating a user equipment (UE) includes receiving first information indicating a first partition of physical random access channel (PRACH) resources into a first group and a second group. A first PRACH transmission using a first PRACH resource from the first group of PRACH resources indicates a first set of features for the UE. A second PRACH transmission using a second PRACH resource from the second group of PRACH resources indicates a second set of features for the UE. The UE further includes determining a PRACH resource from the first group of PRACH resources or from the second group of PRACH resources and transmitting a PRACH using the determined PRACH resource in a RACH occasion (RO).

    Abstract: A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a downlink communication from a network over a first interface transmitted to one or more WTRUs in a group of WTRUs. The WTRU may determine an access class of the WTRU based on a packet loss percentage of the downlink communication. The access class may be associated with a contention window for accessing a second interface. The WTRU may transmit packet loss information to the one or more WTRUs over the second interface in the contention window. The WTRU may receive packet loss feedback from the one or more WTRUs over the second interface. The WTRU may determine that the access class of the WTRU is a highest class of the one or more WTRUs. The WTRU may transmit a single groupcast negative acknowledgement (gNACK) to the network on behalf of the one or more WTRUs over the first interface.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for managing non-associative communications between devices is provided. A first call chain that indicates a routing between phone numbers is stored. A first phone call or a first SMS text is received from a first session initiation protocol (SIP) provider. Based on information provided by the first SIP provider, (i) a sender identity of the first phone call or the first SMS text; (ii) a receiver identity of the first phone call or the first SMS text; and (iii) an access mode of the call chain are determined. If the receiver identity corresponds to a first phone number in the first call chain, a second phone call or a second SMS text is initiated via a second SIP provider, from a second phone number in the first call chain, based on the sender identity and the access mode.
